heal.abstract	Η παρούσα ερευνητική εργασία πραγματεύεται τη δημόσια γραφή ως μέσο επικοινωνίας, έκφρασης και διεκδίκησης στο δημόσιο χώρο. Αρχικά, γίνεται μια μικρή καταγραφή του πως ξεκίνησε ο άνθρωπος να εκφράζεται στους τοίχους των σπηλαίων με διάφορα σύμβολα και στη συνέχεια πως εξελίσσεται χρησιμοποιώντας τα συνθήματα, τα στένσιλ, τις τοιχογραφίες, τις αφίσες και άλλες μορφές δημόσιας γραφής, για να εκφραστεί και να διεκδικήσει χώρο μέσα στην πόλη, τόσο στην Ελλάδα όσο και το εξωτερικό. Στη συνέχεια, ορίζονται αυτοί οι όροι και επισημαίνονται οι διαφορές τους. Στο δεύτερο μέρος αναλύονται κάποιοι όροι και έννοιες σχετικά με την πόλη, όπως είναι το ιδιωτικό, το όριο, το δημόσιο, η ορατότητα και η εδαφοκυριαρχία, και η σχέση της με τη δημόσια γραφή, νόμιμη ή παράνομη. Στο τρίτο και τελευταίο μέρος, γίνεται εστίαση στην πόλη της Αθήνας με μια αναδρομή στις πρωτοεμφανιζόμενες μορφές δημόσιας γραφής από το 1940 μέχρι την περίοδο της κρίσης και έπειτα. Τέλος, αναλύονται δύο παραδείγματα νόμιμων παρεμβάσεων με τη μορφή τοιχογραφιών στον αστικό ιστό της πρωτεύουσας, με άδεια δύο Δήμων (αντίστοιχα) και ένα παράδειγμα παράνομων παρεμβάσεων με τη μορφή στένσιλ και τοιχογραφιών με πολιτικό περιεχόμενο, από μια ομάδα ανθρώπων.	el
heal.abstract	This paper brings into contention the practice of public writing as a means of communication, expression and claim to/in the public space. Through a brief narrative of the origins of the act of expressing with symbols on the walls of the caves the primitive men inhabited, the evolvement of this act in the more recent years is explored, with slogans, stencils, graffiti, murals, posters and other forms of public writing as a way of reclaiming the city, both in Greece and abroad. An elucidation of the relevant terms around the subject is attempted in order to specify the distinctions between them. In the second part of the paper terms related to the city are addressed; the private and the public sphere, the boundaries between the two, the concept of territoriality and the connection with public writing, and lastly the legal and illegal perception of the act. Following this part, the focus is reverted to Athens, examining the debutant forms of public writing starting from the ‘40s and passing by the financial crisis onwards. Finally, two case studies are selected as examples of legitimate interventions in the urban fabric, in the form of murals on the walls of Athens authorized by the corresponding municipalities. As a contradiction, an example of a group creating unauthorized stencil graffiti with political content is also presented.	en
