dc.description.abstract	Σκοπός της εργασίας είναι η παρουσίαση του θεωρήματος του Stone καθώς και μερικά βασικά θεωρήματα που εξετάζουν την δυϊκότητα μεταξύ αλγεβρών Boole και συμπαγών ολικά μη συνεκτικών χώρων. Δουλεύουμε με δύο βασικούς χώρους, την συμπαγοποίηση Stone-Cech ενός χώρου και τον χώρο Stone μιας άλγεβρας Boole. Βασικά εργαλεία στην δουλειά μας αποτελούν η τοπολογική εκδοχή των υπερφίλτρων, τα z-υπερφίλτρα σε ένα χώρο, και η αλγεβρική εκδοχή των υπερφίλτρων σε μια άλγεβρα Boole.	el
dc.description.abstract	The purpose of this report is the presentation of the Stone Represantation Theorem as also some basic theorems of the duality between Boolean algebras and compact totally disconnected topological spaces. We work with two basic spaces, the Stone-Cech compactification of a space and the Stone space of a Boolean algebra. Basic tools of our work is the topological version of ultrafilters, the z-ultrafilters, and the algebrical version of ultrafilters on a Boolean algebra.	en
