heal.abstract	Αντικείμενο μελέτης της παρούσας πτυχιακής εργασίας αποτελεί η αστική Μεσοπολεμική πολυκατοικία Τσαγκάρη, κατασκευασμένη το 1938, έργο του Σ. Κυδωνιάτη. Πρόκειται για αντιπροσωπευτικό δείγμα της Μοντέρνας αρχιτεκτονικής του Μεσοπολέμου με ιδιαίτερη αρχιτεκτονική και καλλιτεχνική αξία. Στόχος της μελέτης αποτελεί η προστασίας, η αποκατάσταση, της ανάδειξης και της επαν-κατοίκησης του κτιρίου. Μέσα από τη μελέτη παραδείγματος επιχειρείται η διερεύνηση και ο προβληματισμός πάνω στους καθιερωμένους κατευθυντήριους άξονες και αρχές που διέπουν τις θεωρητικές και τεχνικές πτυχές της προστασίας και διατήρησης των νεώτερων μνημείων, αλλά και η διερεύνηση των νέων αναδυόμενων προσεγγίσεων . Στο πλαίσιο της λεπτομερούς ανάλυσης του κτιρίου διενεργήθηκε αρχειακή και βιβλιογραφική έρευνα αλλά και συγκριτική μελέτη με κτίρια της ίδιας περιόδου, και παράλληλα πραγματοποιήθηκε πλήθος επι- σκέψεων στο κτίριο και διενεργειών αυτοψίας και επιτόπιων μετρήσεων. Από το στάδιο της τεκμηρίωσης συγκροτήθηκε ένα πλήρες ιστορικό του κτιρίου και παράλληλα έγινε πλήρης αρχιτεκτονικη και κατασκευαστική ανάλυση και αποτύπωση της υφιστάμενης κατάστασης διατήρησης. Η συγκρότηση της προτασης αποκατάστασης και επανάχρησης, βασίστηκε σε τρεις άξονες: δομοστατική αποκατάσταση, οικοδομική αποκατάσταση και προσαρμογή στις νέες χρήσεις. Την ίδια στιγμή η μελέτη αποκατάστασης στοχεύει στην επιδιόρθωση των φθορών και βλαβών του κτιρίου, υλική αποκατάσταση, αλλά και στην κάλυψη των σύγχρονων λειτουργικών αναγκών κατοίκησης, υπό το πρίσμα της βιωσιμότητας. Η εργασία κλείνει με ένα σύνολο διατυπώσεων που στόχο έχουν την διάσωση του μνημείου αλλά και την προστασία του διαχρονικά.	el
heal.abstract	The object of the present thesis is the Tsagari’s urban Interwar apartment building, constructed in 1938, work of S. Kydoniatis. It is a representative sample of modern interwar architecture, with a unique architectural and artistic value. The aim of this thesis is the protection, restoration, and re-inhabitation of the building, in an effort to give prominence to a monument of Modern Architecture. With this case study as a starting point, it is attempted to analyze the established guidelines and principles that govern the theoretical and technical aspects of the protection and conservation of the monuments of modern heritage and reflect on them, and at the same time identify the new emerging approaches to restoration and their implications. In the context of the detailed analysis of the building, archival and bibliographic research, as well as a comparative study with buildings of the same period, were carried out. At the same time, several building visits and on-site measurements were also conducted. During the documentation stage, a complete history of the building has been compiled, whilst a full architectural and construction analysis was performed. Moreover, the existing condition of the building has been monitored and recorded. The restoration and reuse proposal was based on three main principles: structural restoration (structural reinforcement), restoration of the authentic constructional features, and the adaptation of the building to serve its new purpose. Meanwhile, the restoration proposal aims to repair the building’s damages and decaying, restore its original features, and meet the functional requirements of modern living, in regard of sustainability. Finally, the thesis concludes with a set of proposals aiming at saving the monument and protecting it through the ages.	en
