heal.abstract	H ερευνητική εργασία διερευνά τη φύση του υλικού του σκυροδέματος, ως κύριο παράγοντα συμμετοχής στη συνθετική διαδικασία παραγωγής του αρχιτεκτονικού έργου, αλλά και ως φορέα ιδεών και αντιλήψεων λόγω της εκφραστικής του δυνατότητας και επιδραστικότητας. Η έρευνα επικεντρώνεται στη μελέτη χαρακτηριστικών ιδιοτήτων του κινήματος του μπρουταλισμού, του πολιτικού και τοπικού πλαισίου που αυτό αναπτύχθηκε, στις τάσεις που διαμορφώθηκαν, αλλά και εστιάζει στο έργο του Paulo Mendes da Rocha, ως ένα συγκεντρωτικό εκφραστικό ιδίωμα, αμιγώς εξαρτημένο από αυτό το υλικό και παράλληλα ταυτισμένο με αυτό. Αναζητούνται παραδείγματα ικανά να ερμηνεύσουν το χαρακτήρα της υλικότητας και του τρόπου που επέδρασε στη διαμόρφωση ενός πολιτισμικού στίγματος. Πώς ένα υλικό αμιγώς εξαρτημένο από το Μοντέρνο κίνημα και τον Ευρωπαϊκό χώρο αφομοιώθηκε και ενσωματώθηκε στα πολιτισμικά ήθη και την τοπική παράδοση της Λατινικής Αμερικής, απέκτησε ρίζες και σχολές σκέψης, παράγοντας ιδέες και κοινωνικά οράματα. Η εργασία προσπαθεί να απαντήσει ερωτήματα:  Το υλικό καθόρισε και προσδιόρισε την ιδέα του αρχιτεκτονικού έργου ή αντιστρόφως μια ιδέα αναζητά εκφραστικά μέσα να υλοποιηθεί;  Υπάρχει ηθικό πρόσημο στη φύση του υλικού του σκυροδέματος;  Η νέα υλικότητα του beton brut καθόρισε όρους επιβολής στο τοπικό πνεύμα ή αντίθετα προσαρμογής και ενσωμάτωσης με αυτό;  Προσδιόρισε νέα πολιτισμική συνθήκη στον αστικό σχεδιασμό;  Πώς καθορίζεται η καινοτομία και αν αυτή σχετίζεται με τις πολλαπλές εκφραστικές του δυνατότητες του beton brut;  Χρησιμοποιείται ως πολιτισμικό συστατικό ή μέσο, στον τόπο και στα τοπία της Βραζιλίας;	el
heal.abstract	he research paper explores the nature of concrete as a major participating factor in the synthetic production process of the architectural work, but also as a carrier of ideas and perceptions, because of its expressive capacity. The research focuses on studying the characteristics of the architectural style of brutalism, of the political and local framework in which it has been developed, the trends that have been shaped, but also focuses on Paulo Mendes Da Rocha's work as a centralized expressive idiom, purely dependent on this material and αt the same time identified with it. The research seeks examples that would be capable of interpreting the character of materiality and the way that it has influenced the formation of a cultural stigma. How a material, which is purely dependent on the modernism movement and the European space was assimilated and incorporated into the cultural morals and local tradition of Latin America, acquired roots and schools of thought, producing ideas and social visions. The research is trying to answer questions like: • Did the material determine and define the idea of the architectural work or, vice versa, is there an idea seeking expressive means in order to be implemented? • Is there a moral sign in the nature of concrete as a material? • Did the new beton brut materiality determine terms of enforcement upon the local architecture, or, in contrary, adapted and integratied to it? • Did it identify a new cultural condition in urban design? • How is innovation determined and whether it relates to its multiple expressive capabilities of beton brut? • Is it used as a cultural ingredient or medium in the place and the landscapes of Brazil?	en
