heal.abstract	Η Νάξος είναι ένα νησί με ιδιαίτερα ιστορικό χαρακτήρα που εν δυνάμει κινδυνεύει, λόγω πιέσεων της υπέρμετρης τουριστικής ανάπτυξης. Γειτονικά νησιά, όπως η Μύκονος, η Πάρος και η Σαντορίνη, δέχονται τέτοιες πιέσεις λόγω του τουρισμού εδώ και αρκετά χρόνια με αποτέλεσμα την αλλοίωση του χαρακτήρα τους, πράγμα το οποίο αποτελεί πηγή προβληματισμού και χρήζει αντιμετώπισης. Τα τελευταία χρόνια, η εκθετική ανάπτυξη του τουρισμού στο νησί έχει προκαλέσει σημαντικές μεταβολές ακόμα και στις δραστηριότητες της χώρας. Συγκεκριμένα, στο βόρειο τμήμα του παραλιακού μετώπου και στην περιοχή του Κάστρου συγκεντρώνεται το μεγαλύτερο μέρος των επισκεπτών, ενώ το νότιο φαίνεται να ασφυκτιά προσπαθώντας να καλύψει το ρόλο του πάρκινγκ. Είναι επομένως σημαντικό να διαχειριστούμε αυτές τις πιέσεις προκειμένου να εξισορροπήσουμε αυτό το μοτίβο της επιθετικής ανάπτυξης του τουρισμού με τη διατήρηση και ανάδειξη του χαρακτήρα του τόπου. Έτσι, προτείνεται ανάπλαση του παραλιακού μετώπου, με την δημιουργία μιας ενιαίας διαδρομής η οποία ενώνει τον αρχαιολογικό χώρο της Πορτάρας με την περιοχή του Αγίου Γεωργίου και η δημιουργία Κέντρου ανάδειξης πολιτισμού και τοπικών προϊόντων με σκοπό την ανάδειξη σημαντικών στοιχείων της περιοχής και την αξιοποίηση των ανεκμετάλλευτων σημείων της.	el
heal.abstract	Naxos is an island with a distinct historical character that may be threatened by pressures from excessive tourism growth. For several years, neighbouring islands such as Mykonos, Paros, and Santorini have been under strain from tourism, resulting in the alteration of their character, which is causing concern and needs to be addressed. The island's exponential rise in visitor numbers has resulted in significant changes in the country's activities in recent years. The northern area of the coastline and the area surrounding the castle attract the majority of visitors. At the same time, the southern portion looks to suffocate while attempting to serve as a parking lot. Naxos is an island with a distinct historical character that may be threatened by pressures from excessive tourism growth. Addressing these pressures is therefore crucial in order to find a balance between tourist growth and the preservation and enhancement of local identity and genius loci. Hence, it is proposed to reshape the coastline by connecting the archaeological site of Portara with the region of Agios Georgios and by creating a centre for the promotion of culture and local products with the aim of showcasing vital components of the area and making use of its underutilized areas.	en
