heal.abstract	Η διπλωματική εργασία πραγματεύεται τον καθολικό επανασχεδιασμό του ιστορικού χώρου του Σκοπευτηρίου Καισαριανής, με στόχο να φιλοξενήσει το Μουσείο Σύγχρονης Ιστορίας της Ελλάδος, σε άμεση συνύπαρξη με τις υπάρχουσες λειτουργίες δημόσιου χαρακτήρα. Ο χώρος του Σκοπευτηρίου, πριν την εγκατάσταση των προσφύγων στην Καισαριανή το 1922, χρησίμευε ως πεδίο βολής για την εξάσκηση στρατιωτών. Κατά τη διάρκεια του Β’ Παγκοσμίου Πολέμου, έμελλε να λάβει ιστορική διάσταση και να γίνει το «Θυσιαστήριο της Λευτεριάς». Στο χώρο αυτόν εκτελέστηκαν από τα στρατεύματα κατοχής, Έλληνες αγωνιστές από όλη την Ελλάδα. Το Σκοπευτήριο Καισαριανής έγινε σύμβολο της ηρωικής αντίστασης. Ο χώρος όμως, με την παραμονή της Πανελλήνιας Σκοπευτικής Εταιρείας (Π.Σ.Ε) δεν έτυχε του ανάλογου σεβασμού. Κατάκτηση της Δημοτικής Αρχής και των κατοίκων σήμερα, αποτελεί η παραχώρηση του Σκοπευτηρίου στο Δήμο, κατόπιν πολυετών αγώνων. Με τη νέα συνθετική επέμβαση, ο χώρος της Π.Σ.Ε. απομακρύνεται και το υπάρχον Μουσείο του ΕΑΜ «απορροφάται» από το νέο μουσείο. Οι λειτουργίες αναψυχής, άθλησης και εκπαίδευσης, δημόσιου χαρακτήρα που προϋπήρχαν εντός του Σκοπευτηρίου, ομαδοποιούνται ανά κατηγορία και εντάσσονται στον ευρύτερο σχεδιασμό που προτείνεται. Ο κτιριακός όγκος που φιλοξενεί το Μουσείο Σύγχρονης Ιστορίας, ορίζεται από την υπάρχουσα έντονη φύτευση και τους νέους άξονες σύνδεσης του πεδίου σχεδιασμού. Τοποθετείται κάτω από το έδαφος και εντάσσεται πλήρως στο ανάγλυφο του πάρκου. Στρέφεται γύρω από το νέο μνημείο των Πεσόντων, καθιστώντας το ορατό από κάθε σημείο στο εσωτερικό του.	el
heal.abstract	The thesis aims to redesign the historical site of “Skopeftirio Kaisarianis”, as well as the new building of the National Museum of Contemporary History. The site, historically, served as a former military shooting field, until the settlement of refugees in Kaisariani, in 1922. During World War II, it was the place of execution for many Greek soldiers by German conquerors. “Skopeftirio Kaisarianis” became then, a symbol of heroic resistance, named as the “Altar of Liberty”. Despite the importance of the site, the facilities of the Panhellenic Shooting Club remained in the field, not honouring the history of the place. But, after extensive efforts and disputes, the Municipality of Kaisariani gained the authority over the site. In the proposal, the facilities of the shooting club are removed, while the existing “EAM” Museum is incorporated into the new contemporary history museum. The existing public recreational, educational and sports activities, that are spread throughout the park, are also considered as an integral part of the design process. The boundaries of the Museum building are defined from the vegetation of the landscape and the new circulation axes of the site. The building is placed underground, following the natural form of the landscape. A new Memorial is designed and placed in the square in front of the building, thus, being visible from every part inside the building.	en
