heal.abstract	Στην εργασία αυτή διερευνώ τη διαδικασία εξευγενισμού στην περιοχή του Μεταξουργείου. Οι τεχνικές στις οποίες βασίστηκα για τη διερεύνηση αυτή, είναι η βιωματική παρατήρηση, οι συνεντεύξεις με εργαζομένους και κατοίκους της περιοχής, καθώς και η βιβλιογραφική και διαδικτυακή αναζήτηση. Ως θεωρητικό εργαλείο και οπτική προσέγγισης, χρησιμοποιώ την τριαλεκτική του Ε. Soja , η οποία πραγματεύεται τη βιωματική επαφή μέσω της αντίληψης του χώρου και της ιστορίας του, καθώς και διερευνήσεις γύρω από τις έννοιες των αντιθέσεων και των πυκνώσεων. Η βιωματική εμπειρία εμπλουτίζεται παράλληλα με τη διερεύνηση της γενεαλογίας των αντιθέσεων, εστιάζοντας στους σύνθετους τρόπους που έχει παραχθεί χωροκοινωνικά η περιοχή, από την απαρχή της, και καταλήγοντας στη πολυσύνθετη εικόνα, που διαμορφώνουν διάφορες πτυχές, στο σύνολο της, σήμερα. Μελετώντας παράλληλα το θεσμικό πλαίσιο που ώθησε στην εμφάνιση της εξευγενιστικής διαδικασίας στο Μεταξουργείο, σε συνάρτηση με μια ιδιαίτερη δυναμική που παρατηρείται, παγκόσμιας εμβέλειας, διερευνώ τους μηχανισμούς της εξευγενιστικής διαδικασίας, μέσω επιμέρους θεματικές ανάλυσης: τις κοινωνικές ανακατατάξεις, τις μεταβολές στην οικονομία, την αγορά κατοίκησης, καθώς και τις μεταβολές των αφηγήσεων και αναπαραστάσεων για την περιοχή, τόσο από κατοίκους και εργαζόμενους όσο και από τα ΜΜΕ. Συμπερασματικά στην εργασία επιχειρείται ένας επαναπροσδιορισμός της εξευγενιστικής διαδικασίας στο Μεταξουργείο, καθώς, ως πολυσύνθετη συνθήκη, συντελεί στη διαμόρφωση της αστικής ποικιλομορφίας που αναδύεται στην περιοχή.	el
heal.abstract	In this paper I look into the gentrification process in the area of Metaxourgeio. The techniques, which I relied on for this investigation, include experiential observation, interviews with workers and residents of the area, as well as bibliographic and internet search. As a theoretical tool and perspective, I use E. Soja’s trialectics, which focuses on the experience of space through the perception of the production of space and its history, as well as investigations around the concepts of city contrasts and densities. The experience of space is enriched alongside the investigation of the genealogy of contrasts, focusing on the complex ways in which the area has been developed spatially and socially, since its beginning. All the previous, lead to the diversity of the neighbourhood, that is recognised through various aspects, in Metaxourgeio, today. While studying the institutional framework that led to the gentrification process in Metaxourgeio, in relation to a particular dynamic that is observed, on a global scale, I investigate the mechanisms of this particular process, through specific parameters, such as, the social rearrangements, the changes in the economy, the housing market, as well as the changes in the narratives and representations of the area, both by residents and workers and by the media. In conclusion, the paper attempts a redefinition of the gentrification process in Metaxourgeio. As a complex process with various consequences, it contributes eventually, to the emergence and formation of the urban diversity of the area.	en
