heal.abstract	Η παρούσα διπλωματική εργασία εστιάζει στην δημιουργία ενός μοναστικού συνόλου, μιας κοινότητας συνδεδεμένης με την ορθόδοξη πίστη. Αφετηρία αποτέλεσε η αναζήτηση εκείνου του σημείου όπου συναντάται το Ιερό, μέσα από τα χαρακτηριστικά του τόπου, τη θέαση της γραμμής του ορίζοντα και τη στροφή προς την Ανατολή. Κατά αυτό τον τρόπο επιλέγεται η Νάξος, ως νησίδα συνύπαρξης διαφορετικών θρησκευτικοτήτων -ορθόδοξης, καθολικής και αρχαίας θρησκείας-, στην ανατολικότερη της χερσόνησο. Εκεί, στα όρια της βραχώδους τοπιογραφίας, πρόθεσή μας συνιστά η εγγραφή ενός σχήματος που ξεπροβάλλει από το τοπίο, στρέφεται προς την Ανατολή, και δημιουργεί, σε συνδυασμό με το βράχο, περίκεντρη διάταξη στο εσωτερικό του. Μέσα σε αυτό το περίκλειστο κενό τοποθετούμε την εκκλησία ως το κέντρο της ζωής, ενώ γύρω της αναπτύσσουμε καθ’ ύψος όλες τις υπόλοιπες λειτουργίες του μοναστικού βίου. Σε συνέχεια της αναζήτησης του Ιερού, εκτείνουμε κι άλλο τη σύνθεσή μας, τοποθετώντας το ξωκλήσι στην ακρότατη βραχονησίδα του κάβου, μυώντας το χρήστη σε μια σχέση προσωπική με το θείο, πέρα από έναν τόπο σχηματοποιημένο.	el
heal.abstract	This thesis focuses on the creation of a monastic ensemble, a community linked to the Christian Orthodox faith. The starting point was the search for a sacred place, through the characteristics of the topography, the relation with the line of the horizon and the orientation to the East. The island of Naxos it chosen as a place where different religions coexist – orthodox and catholic Christianity as well as the ancient religion -, in the easternmost peninsula. There, at the limits of the rocky topography, our intention is to define a shape that emerges from the landscape, turns towards the East, and creates, combined with the natural landscape, a concentric arrangement. Within this enclosed void we place the church as the center of life, while around it we develop all the other functions of monastic life. In continuation of the search for the Sacred, we extend our composition even further, placing the chapel on the extreme end of the rocky peninsula, introducing the user to a personal relationship with the divine, beyond a stereotyped place.	en
