heal.abstract	Η ανά χείρας μεταπτυχιακή διπλωματική εργασία επιχειρεί να αναλύσει και να τεκμηριώσει τον εγκαταλελειμμένο οθωμανικό «Πύργο του Μουχτάρ» στην Αιτωλοακαρνανία, με σκοπό την πρόταση Στερέωσης – Αποκατάστασης και Επανάχρησης. Ο Πύργος του Μουχτάρ αποτελεί μια αμυντική πυργοκατοικία εκφρασμένη σύμφωνα με τα τοπικά πρότυπα της προεπαναστατικής λαϊκής αρχιτεκτονικής, αλλά άμεσα συνυφασμένη με στοιχεία της οθωμανικής παράδοσης. Χρονολογείται στα τέλη του 18ου αιώνα, με πρώτο ιδιοκτήτη κάποιον σημαντικό Τούρκο αξιωματούχο, ονόματι Μουχτάρ, που διαφέντευε στην περιοχή υπό την εύνοια του Αλή Πασά. Το κτίσμα υπάγεται στην τυπολογία των οχυρών με πύργο κατοικιών, όπου στο ισόγειο ήταν οι βοηθητικοί χώροι, στον μεσόροφο η απόλυτα ελεγχόμενη είσοδος και στον όροφο η κυρίως κατοικία. Πρόκειται για ένα ανεξάρτητο φρουριακό κτίσμα (χωρίς περίβολο) κτισμένο εκτός οικισμού, φαινόμενο καθόλου σπάνιο για την ευρύτερη περιοχή. Ωστόσο, σε αντίθεση με άλλους πύργους της ίδιας περιόδου, ο Πύργος του Μουχτάρ διακρίνεται από μια τυπολογική ιδιαιτερότητα: αντί για ένα «καθαρό» ορθογωνικό πρίσμα - κατά τα γνωστά πυργόσπιτα εκείνης της περιόδου – ένας πρόσθετος όγκος προσκολλάται στην νοτιοδυτική γωνία του κυρίως κτιρίου, σχεδόν κατά κορυφήν. Αυτή η αδόκιμη σύνδεση των δύο όγκων δημιούργησε και τα σημαντικότερα δομικά προβλήματα, που αναλύονται ποιοτικά στην εξέταση της παθολογίας. Η πρόταση αποκατάστασης έχει τρεις κύριους στόχους: α) την δομική στερέωση του κτιρίου και την οικοδομική αποκατάσταση των ζημιών του β) την αποκατάσταση της αρχιτεκτονικής αρτιότητας γ) τη λειτουργική προσαρμογή στη νέα του χρήση, ως διδακτικός - μουσειακός χώρος. Οι λειτουργικές ανάγκες του συγκροτήματος θα καλυφθούν σε νέο συνοδευτικό κτίσμα, χωροθετημένο στο ανατολικό όριο του γεωτεμαχίου, δομημένο από τα ίδια υλικά του τόπου, επιχειρώντας να ενταχθεί στο ευρύτερο σύνολο και να συνδιαλλαγεί με το παλιό ως μια έκφραση της σύγχρονης εποχής. Πρόκειται για έναν σύγχρονο κτιριακό όγκο που τοποθετείται κάθετα στην κλίση του φυσικού εδάφους, ώστε αφενός να οριοθετεί τον υπαίθριο χώρο της ιδιοκτησίας, και αφετέρου να ανοίγεται προς το μνημείο και να προσφέρει άμεση θέαση και οπτική επικοινωνία μαζί του, ως σημείο αναφοράς.	el
heal.abstract	This postgraduate thesis attempts to analyze and document the abandoned Ottoman "Tower of Mukhtar" in Aetoloakarnania, aiming in the proposal of Structural fixing - Restoration and Reuse. The Mukhtar Tower is a defensive tower house expressed according to the local standards of pre-revolutionary popular architecture, but directly intertwined with elements of the Ottoman tradition. It dates back to the end of the 18th century, with the first owner being an important Turkish official, named Mukhtar, who ruled the region under the favor of Ali Pasha. The building belongs to the typology of fortresses with residential towers, where on the ground floor were the auxiliary spaces, on the mezzanine the completely controlled entrance and on the first floor the main residence. It is an independent fortress building (without an enclosure) built outside the settlement, not a rare phenomenon for the wider area. However, unlike other towers of the same period, the Mukhtar Tower is distinguished by a typological peculiarity: instead of a "pure" rectangular prism - as in the known tower houses of that period - an additional volume is attached to the south-west corner of the main building, almost at the top. This unproven connection of the two tumors also created the most important structural problems, which are qualitatively analyzed in the pathology examination. The rehabilitation proposal has three main objectives: a) the structural fixing of the building and the structural restoration of its damages b) the restoration of its architectural shape c) the functional adaptation to its new use, as a museum space. The functional needs of the complex will be met in a new accompanying building, located on the eastern border of the plot, constructed from the same local materials, attempting to join the wider whole and interact with the old as an expression of the modern era. It is a modern building volume that is placed perpendicular to the slope of the natural terrain, so that on the one hand it delimits the outdoor space of the property, and on the other hand it opens up to the monument and offers direct viewing and visual communication with it, as a point of reference.	en
