heal.abstract	Τα ερείπια του οικισμού των Παλιών Βλαχάτων είχαν καταπνιγεί μέσα στην οργιάζουσα φύση για 59 χρόνια μετά την καταστροφή του, ώσπου ξεκίνησε να διοργανώνεται το καλλιτεχνικό festival και ο χρόνος άρχισε να κυλά και πάλι για τον οικισμό. H διοργάνωση του φεστιβάλ δεν έχει αλλοιώσει τον χαρακτήρα του οικισμού καθώς είναι μια ήπια επέμβαση η οποία τον αφήνει σχεδόν ανέγγιχτο. Ωστόσο, η αφύπνιση του οικισμού μέσω του festival έφερε στην επιφάνεια την επιθυμία της επιστροφής των παλιών κατοίκων του οικισμού. Συγχρόνως, η προβολή του οικισμού και το ενδιαφέρον των επισκεπτών για αυτόν ανέδειξε την ανάγκη για την αναβίωση του. Τα ερωτήματα στα οποία επιχειρεί να δώσει απαντήσεις η παρούσα ερευνητική εργασία είναι τα ακόλουθα: Οι λόγοι για τους οποίους εγκαταλείφθηκε ο οικισμός μετά τον σεισμό. Το πως προέκυψε η νέα τοποθεσία στην οποία μεταφέρθηκαν οι κάτοικοι μόλις λίγα χιλιόμετρα πιο χαμηλά και το γιατί δεν έγινε καμία προσπάθεια επιστροφής στα Παλιά Βλαχάτα. Ποια ήταν η οριστική λύση που δόθηκε και ποιος είναι ο οικιστικός χαρακτήρας του καινούριου οικισμού; Ποιο είναι το μέλλον που προδιαγράφεται για τα Παλιά Βλαχάτα; Προμηνύει κάτι την αξιοποίηση του οικισμού ή ο προορισμός του είναι να απομείνει ως μάρτυρας του παρελθόντος μέχρι να γίνει ένα με την φύση; Η παρούσα εργασία χωρίζεται σε τέσσερις ενότητες. Στην πρώτη ενότητα αναλύονται τα εννοιολογικά εργαλεία, η υπόθεση εργασίας και η μεθοδολογία. Στην δεύτερη ενότητα γίνεται μια σύντομη ανάλυση της ιστορίας της Κεφαλονιάς. Στην τρίτη ενότητα αναλύεται ο οικισμός πριν την καταστροφή του, ο νέος οικισμός και η σχέση του με τον παλιό αλλά και η εικόνα του εγκαταλελειμμένου οικισμού σήμερα. Τέλος η έρευνα καταλήγει σε συμπεράσματα σχετικά με το πως θα μπορούσαμε να ξαναπροσεγγίσουμε τον τόπο αυτό.	el
heal.abstract	The ruined settlement of Old Vlachata had been quelled by wild nature for 59 years after its destruction until the arrival of the artistic festival it hosted, and time had begun anew. The festival's event has preserved the old settlement's character, as it is a mild intervention that maintains its integrity. However, the festival's awakening of the old settlement has led to the desire for return from its old residents. At the same time the settlement's need for a revival has been brought forth by the exposure it has received and the interest it has gained from its visitors. The following are the questions that this research paper aims to answer: The reasons behind the settlement's abandonment after the earthquake. What led to the residents moving to a location just a few kilometers lower and why have there been no return attempts to Old Vlachata. What was the long-term solution provided, and what is the residential character of the new settlement? What is the future that is prescribed for Old Vlachata? Is there any indication that the settlement will be used, or is it expected to remain as a testament to the past until it merges with nature? The study is divided into four sections. The semantics, study hypothesis and methodology are addressed in the initial section. A brief overview of Kefalonia's history is provided in the second section. An analysis is conducted in the third section, on the settlement before the disaster, the new settlement and its relation to the old one, as well as the current image of the old settlement today. The final conclusion of the study is on how we could re-approach this location again.	en
