The present thesis aims to study and simulate the phenomenon of corrosion from stray currents in ships using direct current as the main power source. The approach to the problem is achieved through the analysis and understanding of the phenomenon of corrosion and cathodic protection, the study of under-protected structures and then the simulation of the cathodic protection effect on the hull of an electrically propelled ship. |
