heal.abstract	Το πλαίσιο μελέτης της παρούσας εργασίας αφορά την προσαρμοστική επανάχρηση (adaptive reuse), μια διαχρονική πρακτική κατά την οποία αξιοποιείται το κτιριακό απόθεμα για να καλυφθούν οι νέες ανάγκες των ανθρώπων , και συγκεκριμένα στο πως εφαρμόζεται κατά τη μετατροπή υφιστάμενων κτιρίων σε χώρους μουσείων και εκθεσιακών χώρων. Είναι γεγονός πως οι απαιτήσεις της σύγχρονης εποχής έχουν διαφοροποιηθεί πολύ σε σχέση με το παρελθόν, προκαλώντας συνέπειες σε ποικίλους τομείς της ζωής του σύγχρονου ανθρώπου, κοινωνικούς, οικονομικούς και περιβαλλοντικούς. Η ανάγκη για μια βιωσιμότερη καθημερινότητα, η οποία συνίσταται κυρίως σε καλύτερη ποιότητα ζωής με σεβασμό προς το περιβάλλον είναι πλέον επιβεβλημένη . Ως εκ τούτου, κρίνεται απαραίτητη η επανάχρηση υφιστάμενων κελυφών και δομών ούτως ώστε να περιοριστούν οι περιβαλλοντικές επιπτώσεις από την κατασκευή νέων κτιρίων, με ό,τι αυτό συνεπάγεται. Με γνώμονα λοιπόν, τον αειφόρο σχεδιασμό, την ιστορική συνέχεια αλλά και άλλους παράγοντες που προκύπτουν, εξετάζονται συγκεκριμένα παραδείγματα προσαρμοστικής επανάχρησης κτιρίων σε όλο τον κόσμο, τα οποία πληρούν την προϋπόθεση του μουσειακού - εκθεσιακού χώρου ως τελική χρήση. Εν τέλει, μέσα από τη σύγκριση απορρέουν συμπεράσματα και επιχειρείται να δοθεί απάντηση στο ερώτημα «αν η προσαρμοστική επανάχρηση αποτελεί διακριτή αρχιτεκτονική προσέγγιση, μια τάση της εποχής ή μια διαχρονική δυνατότητα».	el
heal.abstract	The context of this study is adaptive reuse, a continuing practice of using existing buildings to meet people’s new needs, and specifically how it is applied in the conversion of existing buildings into museum and exhibition spaces.. It is a fact that the demands of modern times have become very different from those of the past, with consequences in various areas of modern life, social, economic, and environmental. The need for a more sustainable daily life, which consists mainly of a better quality of life with respect for the environment, is now imperative. It is therefore necessary to reuse existing buildings and structures in order to reduce the environmental impact of the construction of new buildings, with all that this entails. In the light of sustainable design, historical continuity and other factors, specific examples of adaptive re-use of buildings around the world that meet the requirement of museum and exhibition space as an end use are examined. Finally, through the comparison, some conclusions are drawn, and an attempt is made to answer the question «whether adaptive reuse is a distinct architectural approach, a trend of the times or a timeless possibility».	en
