heal.abstract	Η διπλωματική μου εργασία εξετάζει το παρόχθιο τοπίο της Άρτας, εστιάζοντας στη σχέση της πόλης με τον ποταμό Άραχθο. Προτείνει μια νέα αντίληψη για τον σχεδιασμό αστικών και φυσικών τοπίων, ενσωματώνοντας τη φύση στον πυρήνα του σχεδιασμού. Αντιμετωπίζει την πόλη ως έναν ζωντανό κήπο-χάρτη, όπου οι αγροτικές και αστικές τελετουργίες συνδυάζονται και αλληλεπιδρούν. Επιπλέον, η εργασία υιοθετεί μια φυσιοκεντρική προσέγγιση, δίνοντας έμφαση στις ανάγκες, τη συμπεριφορά και την ποικιλομορφία της φύσης, αναδεικνύοντας τη σημασία της αρμονικής συνεργασίας του ανθρώπου και περιβάλλοντος. Τέλος, αναδεικνύεται η ανάγκη για ολιστικό σχεδιασμό, ο οποίος λαμβάνει υπόψη τον άνθρωπο ως μέρος του οικοσυστήματος και όχι ως ξεχωριστή οντότητα. Ο αστικός σχεδιασμός πρέπει να προάγει την ισορροπία μεταξύ φυσικού και αστικού περιβάλλοντος, ενσωματώνοντας βιώσιμες πρακτικές και προωθώντας τη συμμετοχή της κοινότητας. Κεντρική θέση στη διπλωματική μου εργασία κατέχει η ιδέα ότι τα αστικά οικοσυστήματα μπορούν να λειτουργούν ως ενδιαιτήματα και εργαλεία ανθεκτικότητας, ενώ, παράλληλα, συμβάλλουν στη βελτίωση της υγείας και της βιοποικιλότητας. Η εργασία προωθεί την εξάλειψη της δυαδικότητας ανάμεσα στο φυσικό και το αστικό περιβάλλον, ενθαρρύνοντας τη συν-εξάρτηση, την ισότητα αλλά και το δικαίωμα όλων να απολαμβάνουν τα οφέλη της φύσης. Απώτερος στόχος είναι η δημιουργία ενός βιώσιμου μέλλοντος, μέσα στο οποίο άνθρωποι και φύση συνυπάρχουν αρμονικά σε έναν κοινό χώρο.	el
heal.abstract	My thesis examines the riparian landscape of Arta, focusing on the city's relation with the river Arachthos. It proposes a new concept for the design of urban and natural landscapes, integrating nature at the core of the design. It regards the city as a living garden-map, where rural and urban rituals combine and interact. Furthermore, the work follows a nature-centred approach, emphasising the needs, behaviour and diversity of nature, highlighting the importance of the harmonious collaboration between humans and the environment. Finally, it demonstrates the need for holistic planning, which considers humans as part of the ecosystem rather than a separate entity. Urban planning should balance the natural and urban environment, incorporating sustainable practices and promoting community participation. Central to my thesis is the idea that urban ecosystems can act as habitats and resilience tools, while also contributing to improved health and biodiversity. The thesis promotes the elimination of duality between the natural and urban environments, encouraging co-dependence, equity and the right for all to enjoy the benefits of nature. The ultimate goal is to create a sustainable future in which people and nature coexist harmoniously in a common space.	en
