heal.abstract	Η πόλη της Αθήνας παρουσιάζει έντονο ενδιαφέρον ως προς την τοπογραφία της: οι πολυάριθμοι λόφοι, περίοπτες εξάρσεις του αναγλύφου της, είναι τόποι κομβικής και πολυεπίπεδης σημασίας, αφού δρουν ως θραυσματικά υπολείμματα του ιστορικού υπόβαθρου, ως “Πολιτισμικά Τοπία” και ταυτόχρονα ως χώροι εκτόνωσης. Ωστόσο, η εξάπλωση του αστικού ιστού φαίνεται να έχει δημιουργήσει μία προβληματική συσχέτιση με τους λόφους και τη φυσική τοπογραφία. Η οικιστική εξέλιξη “πολιορκεί” τους λόφους, οι οποίοι πλέον μοιάζουν με νησιά σε ένα “αστικό αρχιπέλαγος”. Επομένως γίνεται αντιληπτό πως η σχέση πόλης και λόφου ωθείται σε μία πόλωση, γεννά ένα δίπολο. Το εν λόγω δίπολο αποτελεί παράδοξο, αν αναλογιστούμε πως οι λόφοι είναι ζωτικό συστατικό στοιχείο και αναπόσπαστο κομμάτι της πρωτεύουσας. Η παρούσα εργασία επιχειρεί να ερευνήσει πιθανούς τρόπους επαναδιαππραγμάτευσης των αυστηρών ορίων πόλης και λόφου, εστιάζοντας στον ενδιάμεσο τόπο μεταξύ των δύο. Η διεύρυνση του ενδιάμεσου δυνητικά επιτυγχάνει την οργανική όσμωση που θα βελτιώσει την αλληλεξάρτηση του φυσικού και του τεχνητού, του ιστορικού και του σύγχρονου. Συγκεκριμένα, η εν λόγω εργασία πραγματεύεται την περίπτωση του λόφου Φιλοπάππου και την προβληματική του σχέση με τη συνοικία των Άνω Πετραλώνων, επιχειρώντας να διασπάσει την αυστηρότητα του διπόλου και να εισάγει τη γόνιμη αλληλο-διείσδυση τους. Στόχος είναι μέσω του σχεδισαμού να βρεθεί ένας κοινός τόπος συνύπαρξης που θα λειτουργήσει και ως “κατώφλι” προς το Φιλοπάππου και τις ποικίλες ανθρώπινες δραστηριότητες που μπορούν να λάβουν χώρα εκεί.	el
heal.abstract	The city of Athens presents significant interest in terms of its topography: its numerous hills, prominent features of its relief, hold pivotal and multifaceted importance. They function as fragmented remnants of the historical background, as “Cultural Landscapes.” They stand out as reference points for their surrounding urban areas, as landmarks, as environmentally significant natural enclaves, and simultaneously as spaces for recreation. However, the expansion of the urban fabric seems to have created a problematic relationship with the hills and the natural topography. Urban development “besieges” the hills, which now resemble islands in an “urban archipelago.” Consequently, it becomes evident that the relationship between the city and the hills is driven towards polarization, generating a dichotomy. This dichotomy is paradoxical when considering that the hills are vital and integral elements of the capital city. This study seeks to explore possible ways to renegotiate the rigid boundaries between the city and the hills, focusing on the intermediary space between them. Expanding this intermediary zone potentially achieves an organic osmosis that could enhance the interdependence of the natural and the artificial, the historical and the contemporary. Specifically, the study examines the case of Philopappou Hill and its problematic relationship with the Ano Petralona neighborhood. It aims to dissolve the rigidity of this dichotomy and introduce their fertile interpenetration. The goal is to design a common ground for coexistence, which will serve as a “threshold” to Philopappou and the diverse human activities that can take place there.	en
