heal.abstract	Στην παρούσα διπλωματική εργασία, εξετάζουμε τις κοσμολογικές επιπτώσεις της στρέψης εμπνευσμένη από τη θεωρίας των χορδών, μιας επέκτασης της καθιερωμένης γεωμετρίας του χωροχρόνου που ενσωματώνει βαθμούς ελευθερίας λόγω της στρέψης που προκύπτουν μέσω ανωμαλιών. Συγκεκριμένα, εργαζόμαστε στο πλαίσιο μιας αποτελεσματικής (ενεργής) βαρυτικής θεωρίας Chern-Simons, εμπνευσμένης από τη θεωρία χορδών. Δείχνουμε πώς ο πληθωρισμός τύπου Τρεχούμενου Κενού (Running Vacuum Model - RVM) λαμβάνει χώρα από τη συμπύκνωση βαρυτικών κυμάτων σε χωροχρόνο FLRW, μέσω της εμφάνισης ενός συμπυκνώματος του όρου βαρυτικής ανωμαλίας Chern-Simons. Επίσης, συζητούμε την εμφάνιση φανταστικών μερών του τελευταίου, και κατά συνέπεια στη συνολική αποτελεσματική δράση, καθιστώντας έτσι τον πληθωρισμό μια μετασταθή κατάσταση. Αυτό συμφωνεί με τη γενική φιλοσοφία του μοντέλου του Τρεχούμενου Κενού στην κοσμολογία. Επιπλέον, εξετάζουμε τις φαινομενολογικές συνέπειες αυτού του μοντέλου στην εποχή του πληθωρισμού.	el
heal.abstract	In this thesis, we explore the cosmological implications of string-inspired torsion, an extension of conventional spacetime geometry that incorporates torsional degrees of freedom, motivated by string theory and emerging through anomalies. Specifically, we work within the framework of an effective gravitational Chern-Simons theory inspired from strings. We demonstrate how inflation of Running Vacuum model type is driven by the condensation of gravitational waves in FLRW spacetime, through the appearance of a condensate of the Chern-Simons gravitational anomaly term. We also discuss the appearance of imaginary parts of the latter, and thus in the effective action, thereby making the inflation metastable situation. This is in agreement with the general philosophy of the Running Vacuum model framework of cosmology. We also examine the phenomenological ramifications of this model in the inflationary era.	en
