heal.abstract	The project concerns the design of an Arts High School on the site of the abandoned Mavromichalis villa in Kastella, a plot defined by a striking duality: to the north, it faces a dense urban fabric with rigid geometric structures, while to the south, it opens toward the sea, the cliffs, and a soft, shifting natural landscape. The design embraces this contrast by continuing the orthogonal geometry of the city, which gradually dissolves into more fluid forms as it approaches the coastline, enabling a gradual transition from the built to the unbuilt. The program is organized into two main zones: general education spaces are arranged linearly along the northern edge, reinforcing the urban front, while artistic workshops (visual arts, dance, theatre) are housed in a curved volume that embraces the existing villa. Between them, a vertical “tower” structure hosts the library, film archive, and small labs. On a lower level, beneath the main courtyard, lie the elliptical underground theatre and the dining area with southern sea views. The overall journey from city to sea is articulated through a sequence of descending volumes and escalating functions. Importantly, the view is not immediately revealed, but gradually discovered—through visual filters, movement, and material interplay—encouraging the user to engage with the site as an unfolding spatial narrative.	en
heal.abstract	Η πρόταση αφορά τον σχεδιασμό ενός Καλλιτεχνικού Λυκείου στον χώρο της ερειπωμένης έπαυλης Μαυρομιχάλη στην Καστέλλα, σε ένα οικόπεδο με έντονη διττότητα: από βορρά συνορεύει με πυκνή αστική δόμηση και αυστηρή γεωμετρία, ενώ από νότο ανοίγεται στη θάλασσα, το φως και το φυσικό ανάγλυφο. Η σύνθεση αξιοποιεί αυτό το δίπολο, συνεχίζοντας τη γραμμική γεωμετρία προς την πόλη και διασπώντας την σε ελεύθερα σχήματα προς τη θάλασσα, με στόχο τη διαβαθμισμένη μετάβαση από το κτισμένο στο άκτιστο. Οι λειτουργίες οργανώνονται σε δύο βασικές ενότητες: τις αίθουσες θεωρητικής εκπαίδευσης, που απλώνονται γραμμικά κατά μήκος του δρόμου, και τις αίθουσες καλλιτεχνικής διδασκαλίας, που στεγάζονται σε καμπύλο όγκο γύρω από το υφιστάμενο κτήριο. Στο ενδιάμεσο τοποθετείται κάθετα ο «πύργος» βιβλιοθήκης και μικρών εργαστηρίων, ενώ σε χαμηλότερη στάθμη αναπτύσσονται το υπόγειο ελλειψοειδές θέατρο και η τραπεζαρία με θέα. Η διαδρομή από την πόλη προς τη θάλασσα σηματοδοτείται με κλιμάκωση όγκων και χρήσεων, ενώ η θέα δεν αποκαλύπτεται άμεσα, αλλά ανακαλύπτεται σταδιακά μέσα από φίλτρα βλέμματος, κίνηση και υλικότητα.	el
