heal.abstract	Η παρούσα εργασία έχει ως αντικείμενο τη χωρική και κοινωνική αναζωογόνηση της Αγιάσου, ενός παραδοσιακού οικισμού στη Λέσβο. Συγκεκριμένα, επιλέγω να ασχοληθώ με την «Καρυά», περιοχή-είσοδο του οικισμού, καθώς συγκεντρώνει πολιτιστικές, κοινωνικές και διοικητικές λειτουργίες αλλά και εγκατάλειψη και υποδομές που έχουν φθαρεί. Οι προτάσεις που διατυπώθηκαν προέκυψαν μέσω της βιωματικής/ προσωπικής μου εμπειρίας στον τόπο μελέτης αλλά και βιβλιογραφικής έρευνας. Με βασικό θεωρητικό υπόβαθρο τη θεώρηση του χώρου ως πολιτισμικό προϊόν που διαμορφώνεται από τις κοινωνικές σχέσεις, εξετάζω πώς η παράδοση επιλέγεται και επαναπροσδιορίζεται μέσα από τις ανάγκες του παρόντος. Μέσα από ανάλυση του τόπου, προκύπτουν προτάσεις παρεμβάσεων σε διαφορετικές κλίμακες: αναδιαμόρφωση της πλατείας, αποκατάσταση του θεάτρου, δημιουργία κεραμείου, βοτανόκηπου και χώρων πολιτισμού και εκπαίδευσης, με στόχο τη συλλογική χρήση και την ενεργοποίηση των κατοίκων. Οι προτάσεις δεν αποτελούν μια ενιαία λύση αλλά μια σειρά από εφικτές, δυναμικές ενέργειες που μπορούν να υλοποιηθούν μεμονωμένα ή συνδυαστικά, ενισχύοντας την κοινότητα και την ταυτότητα του τόπου. Η εργασία στηρίζεται στη δυναμική αρχιτεκτονική, την εμπλοκή των κατοίκων στον σχεδιασμό και τη μετάβαση από μια παθητική διατήρηση της παράδοσης σε μια ενεργή ανανοηματοδότησή της, ενισχύοντας τη συλλογική ταυτότητα και την ποιότητα ζωής στην επαρχία.	el
heal.abstract	This thesis focuses on the spatial and social revitalization of Agiasos, a traditional village on the island of Lesvos. My focus is on the 'Karya' area, which plays a central role in the life of the village by hosting key cultural and civic uses, but also suffers from noticeable neglect and infrastructure degradation. The proposals presented in this work stem from my personal and experiential connection with the site, as well as from bibliographic research. With a central theoretical framework that views space as a cultural product shaped by social relations, the study explores how tradition is selectively maintained and redefined in response to contemporary needs. Through an in-depth analysis of the site, the project formulates a series of interventions at different scales: redesign of the main square, restoration of the theater, creation of a ceramics workshop, a community herb garden, and spaces dedicated to culture and education—all aimed at promoting collective use and activating local residents. These proposals do not form a single, unified plan but rather a set of feasible, dynamic actions that can be implemented independently or in combination, reinforcing the community and local identity. The thesis is based in the principles of dynamic and participatory architecture, emphasizing the involvement of residents in the design process and the transition from a passive preservation of tradition to its active reinterpretation, ultimately enhancing collective identity and quality of life in rural areas.	en
