heal.abstract	Το θέμα της παρούσας ερευνητικής εργασίας αποτελεί η ανάλυση της παραδοσιακής αρχιτεκτονικής στα νησιά των Κυκλάδων, και η σύγκρισή της με τη νέα αρχιτεκτονική δημιουργία στον συγκεκριμένο τόπο. Μέσα από την επιλογή ορισμένων συνθετικών παραμέτρων που ορίζουν την παραδοσιακή αρχιτεκτονική στις Κυκλάδες, εκείνη αναλύεται με στόχο την κατανόηση της ως προς τις αρχές σχεδιασμού της και την σχέση της με τον τόπο και το τοπίο. Τα κριτήρια που επιλέγονται είναι ο προσανατολισμός, η θέα, η κλίμακα, η ογκοπλασία, ο τύπος, η μορφή και η κατασκευή. Βάσει αυτών εξετάζεται πώς η παράδοση ανταποκρινόταν στις ανάγκες του τόπου και πώς αυτές οι αρχές μπορούν να λειτουργήσουν ως εργαλείο σχεδιασμού σήμερα. Έπειτα, αναλύεται ο προβληματισμός του επαναπροσδιορισμού του τρόπου με τον οποίο κατοικείται το περιβάλλον των νησιών σήμερα, καθώς τα δεδομένα του υπερτουρισμού και της υπερδόμησης πλήττουν τον νησιωτικό χώρο και απειλούν το φυσικό και δομημένο περιβάλλον. Γίνεται λοιπόν κατανοητή η σημασία της θέσης της σχεδιαστικής κοινότητας ως προς τα παραπάνω ζητήματα. Η παραδοσιακή αρχιτεκτονική μπορεί να προσφέρει σχεδιαστικές αρχές που μπορούν να αξιοποιηθούν σήμερα, καθιστώντας την ένα άρτιο αρχιτεκτονικό πρότυπο που μπορεί να επανασυστηθεί στο κοινό με νέους όρους, ώστε να γίνει εφικτή η επίτευξη της βιωσιμότητας του σύγχρονου σχεδιασμού. Τέλος, επιχειρείται η σύγκριση της παράδοσης με την σύγχρονη δημιουργία, μέσα από την επιλογή τεσσάρων βραβευμένων έργων στο περιβάλλον των Κυκλάδων, και η αξιολόγησή τους σύμφωνα με τις παραμέτρους ανάλυσης της παράδοσης που αξιοποιήθηκαν στο πρώτο στάδιο της εργασίας.	el
heal.abstract	The subject of this research is the analysis of the traditional architecture in the region of the Cyclades islands, as well as its comparison with contemporary architectural creation in the same region. Through the selection of some architectural parameters that define the traditional architecture of the Cyclades, the study aims to the understanding of the architectural principles that define it, and its relationship with the place and the landscape. Based on these, the study explores how tradition responded to the needs of the place and how these principles can be used as tools for the architectural design today. The criteria chosen to describe the traditional architecture in the Cycladic islands are orientation, views, scale, shape and size, typology, form and construction. Based on these, the research examines how tradition responded to the needs of the place and how these principles can be used as design tools today. Subsequently, the study addresses the issue of redefining the way the island environment is inhabited today, as the pressures of over-tourism and overdevelopment harm the landscape and threaten both the natural and built landscape. This highlights the importance of the architectural community's role on these issues. Traditional architecture can offer design principles that remain relevant today, making it a valuable architectural model that can be reintroduced to the public with new terms, aiming to achieve sustainability in contemporary design. Finally, the study results in a comparative analysis between traditional and contemporary architecture, through the selection of four award-winning projects located in the Cycladic environment and evaluates them using the same parameters applied in the initial analysis of traditional architecture.	en
