heal.abstract	Η παρούσα ερευνητική εργασία ξεκινά από έναν προσωπικό προβληματισμό γύρω από τη βαθιά σχέση του ανθρώπου με τον κτισμένο χώρο και τη δυνατότητα της αρχιτεκτονικής να επηρεάζει τις αισθήσεις, τα συναισθήματα και την εμπειρία του ατόμου. Στο επίκεντρο της διερεύνησης βρίσκεται η έννοια της ατμόσφαιρας όπως την αναπτύσσει ο Peter Zumthor, ο οποίος την ορίζει ως μια ουσιώδη, άυλη ποιότητα που προηγείται της μορφής και καθορίζει τη βιωματική διάσταση του χώρου. Αντικείμενο της μελέτης είναι η ανάλυση των συνθετικών αρχών και των σχεδιαστικών επιλογών που χρησιμοποιεί ο Zumthor για τη δημιουργία ατμόσφαιρας στα έργα του. Ειδικότερα, εξετάζονται στοιχεία όπως η υλικότητα, το φως, ο ήχος, η κίνηση και η ένταξη στο πολιτισμικό και φυσικό πλαίσιο, με στόχο να αναδειχθεί η ανθρωποκεντρική του προσέγγιση. Το κεντρικό ερώτημα που τίθεται είναι: Πώς η αρχιτεκτονική του Peter Zumthor και οι ιδέες του για την «ατμόσφαιρα» επιδιώκουν να αγγίξουν και να επηρεάσουν την ανθρώπινη αίσθηση και αντίληψη; Για την απάντηση του ερωτήματος, ακολουθείται μια μεθοδολογία που συνδυάζει τη θεωρητική ανάλυση του έργου του Zumthor, κυρίως του βιβλίου Atmospheres, με την επιτόπια εμπειρική μελέτη του Kolumba Museum στην Κολωνία. Μέσα από μια φαινομενολογική προσέγγιση, καταγράφεται η άμεση σωματική και ψυχική εμπλοκή του επισκέπτη με τον χώρο, με στόχο την κατανόηση του τρόπου με τον οποίο η αρχιτεκτονική του Zumthor μεταφράζει τη θεωρία σε πράξη και δημιουργεί ουσιαστικές, πολυαισθητηριακές εμπειρίες.	el
heal.abstract	This research paper originates from a personal contemplation on the profound relationship between humans and built space, and on architecture’s capacity to influence the senses, emotions, and individual experience. At the center of this investigation lies the concept of atmosphere, as developed by Peter Zumthor, who defines it as an essential, intangible quality that precedes form and determines the experiential dimension of space. The object of this study is the analysis of the compositional principles and design choices employed by Zumthor to create atmosphere in his works. Specifically, elements such as materiality, light, sound, movement, and integration into the cultural and natural context are examined, with the aim of highlighting his human-centered approach. The central question posed is: How does Peter Zumthor’s architecture and his ideas about “atmosphere”, seek to touch and influence human sensation and perception? To answer this question, the methodology combines theoretical analysis of Zumthor’s work, particularly his book Atmospheres, with an on-site empirical study of the Kolumba Museum in Cologne. Through a phenomenological approach, the direct bodily and emotional engagement of the visitor with the space is recorded, with the aim of understanding how Zumthor’s architecture translates theory into practice and creates meaningful, multi-sensory experiences.	en
