heal.abstract	Η παρούσα ερευνητική εργασία θίγει το ζήτημα της σεξεργασίας στην Αθήνα. Η μελέτη αφορά το ιστορικό και το παράλληλο θεσμικό πλαίσιο του επαγγέλματος από την αρχαιότητα μέχρι και τη πρόσφατη δεκαετία του 1990 και εμβαθύνει στην γεωγραφική ανάλυση της σημερινής παρουσίας του στο αθηναϊκό κέντρο. Γίνεται εστίαση στους βασικούς πυκνωτές της σεξεργασίας στον αστικό χάρτη, την οδό Φυλής στην Βικτώρια, την οδό Ιάσονος στο Μεταξουργείο και την λεωφόρο Λιοσίων στην ευρύτερη περιοχή του Σταθμού Λαρίσης. Για την καλύτερη κατανόηση της εμφάνισής της στην πόλη, σε γεωγραφικό, κοινωνικό αλλά και ηθικό επίπεδο, γίνεται μια σύγκριση των κυριότερων κόμβων της. Πού χωράει η σεξεργασία; Ποιες διαδρομές ακολουθούν οι πελάτες; Με ποιους όρους η σεξεργασία διαμορφώνει ή καθορίζει γεωγραφίες στην πόλη; Η ελληνική κοινωνία είναι έτοιμη να αποδεχτεί τη συνύπαρξή της μ΄αυτή και να την ενσωματώσει στο ευρύτερο σώμα της;	el
heal.abstract	This research paper addresses the issue of sex work in Athens. The study explores the historical and parallel legal framework of the profession, tracing its evolution from antiquity to the contemporary period of the 1990s. It focuses on the present day and the manifestation of sex work within the urban center of Athens, presenting the main forms encountered across the city's landscape. From private sex work to its public visibility on the streets and its growing presence within the digital sphere, sex work has persistently existed in the city's background often under regimes of state control and suppression, as well as social and moral condemnation. Focusing on the capital's city center, the research analyzes the spatial imprints of the various forms of sex work, while simultaneously examining the sociopolitical perceptions, stereotypes, and their place within the broader framework of social morality. In terms of private sex work, the main hubs are concentrated along Filis Street in Viktoria, Iasonos Street in Metaxourgeio, and Liosion Avenue near Larissa Station. Through this approach, the study enables a deeper reading and understanding of aspects of athenian reality that are often silenced or overlooked, rendering them largely unknown and absent from public discourse. Where does sex work belong? Which routes do clients follow? Under what conditions does sex work shape or even define the city's geographies? Is Greek society ready to accept its coexistence with sex work and integrate it into its broader social fabric? These are some of the key questions this lecture seeks to explore and address.	en
