heal.abstract	Η εργασία εξετάζει τον ενδιάμεσο χώρο της αθηναϊκής πολυκατοικίας ως πεδίο κατοίκησης που διαφεύγει των σύνηθων αρχιτεκτονικών προθέσεων. Εστιάζει στα σημεία εκείνα που βρίσκονται ανάμεσα σε εμάς, στον ιδιωτικό μας χώρο και στην πόλη. Μπαλκόνια, κάγκελα, τέντες, γλάστρες· τόποι που ενεργοποιούνται μέσα από τις μικρές πράξεις των κατοίκων. Στον χώρο αυτό η καθημερινότητα δεν είναι απλώς μία ξεφτισμένη από την συνήθεια επαναληψιμότητα, αλλά ανθρώπινες πρακτικές που αφήνουν τα δικά τους ίχνη, μορφοποιούν τον χώρο αργά, με σιωπηλές επιτελέσεις. Ο ενδιάμεσος χώρος του τυπικού διαμερίσματος δεν ανήκει ούτε στο ιδιωτικό ούτε στο δημόσιο. Είναι ασταθής, μεταβατικός, και ακριβώς γι’ αυτό ευάλωτος στην σαρωτική δύναμη της κατοίκησης. Ύστερα από αυτή την περιπλάνηση θα μπορέσουμε να φτάσουμε στην ποιητική κατοικία που αποζητά το θνητό μας είναι ή κινδυνεύουμε να παραμείνουμε μετέωροι, εκτοπισμένοι, μεταξύ της απρόσωπης πόλης και του ενδιαιτήματός μας; Ίσως πάλι να διανοίξουμε νέα κατώφλια προς αλλιώτικους προορισμούς που θα μας φέρουν πιο κοντά στην ουσία του είναι μας και στην επίταξη της ανεστιότητάς μας. Με βεβαίοτητα, ο σκόπος αυτής της έρευνας θα έχει επιτευχθεί, αφού θα είμαστε σε θέση να ανοίξουμε νέες συζητήσεις για το κατοικείν μας, την σύγχρονη αστικότητα και εν γένει την αρχιτεκτονική, με άξονα μας πάντοτε τον ενδιάμεσο χώρο.	el
heal.abstract	This research investigates the space in between within the Athenian apartment building — a spatial condition of habitation that escapes conventional architectural frameworks. It refers to zones situated between the private space and the public city: balconies, railings, awnings, planters — marginal areas that gain significance through the everyday practices of residents. Rather than static or neutral, the space in between is shaped by informal, incremental acts that transform its form and meaning over time. These spatial thresholds are not strictly private nor public; they are transitional, unstable, and highly responsive to patterns of use. By analyzing these overlooked micro-spaces, the study aims to reveal their role in shaping contemporary urban dwelling. It proposes that the space in between is a key element in understanding how residents negotiate boundaries, express identity, and adapt the built environment to their needs. Ultimately, the research seeks to open up new discussions around dwelling, urbanity, and architectural design — positioning the space in between as a critical lens through which to reconsider the relationship between architecture and everyday life.	en
