heal.abstract	Η παρούσα διάλεξη εξετάζει τη διαλεκτική του τόπου, αναδεικνύοντας τη σημασία και τη σύνθετη φύση του στη σύγχρονη σκέψη και εμπειρία. Με αφετηρία την κυπριακή παροιμία «Άθρωπος εν ο τόπος, τζ’ ο τόπος γέρημος», διερευνά πώς η σχέση του ανθρώπου με τον χώρο αναδιαμορφώνεται στη σημερινή εποχή. Αποσαφηνίζεται εννοιολογικά ο τόπος και διερευνάται μέσα από τις φαινομενολογικές προσεγγίσεις τριών θεωρητικών: του Martin Heidegger στο κείμενό του «Κτίζειν Κατοικείν Σκέπτεσθαι», του Christian Norberg-Schulz στο «Το Πνεύμα του Τόπου: Για Μια Φαινομενολογια της Αρχιτεκτονικης», με μια αρχιτεκτονική οπτική, και του Gaston Bachelard στο «Η Ποιητική του Χώρου». Από την ανάλυση αυτή αναδεικνύονται τα βασικά χαρακτηριστικά του τόπου, τα οποία καταγράφονται σε ένα «μητρώο τόπου». Στη συνέχεια, η εργασία στρέφεται στην έννοια του «μη-τόπου», αντλώντας από τη θεωρία του Marc Augé στο “Non-Places: Introduction to an Anthropology of Supermodernity”, από το κείμενο του Rem Koolhaas, “Generic City” και από τη ριζοσπαστική οπτική του Aaron Betsky στο “Architecture Must Burn”, οδηγώντας στη δημιουργία ενός αντίστοιχου «μητρώου μη-τόπου». Στο δεύτερο μέρος παρουσιάζεται ένα αφηγηματικό ταξί-δι στο Κάιρο, το οποίο αναλύεται σε επιμέρους σταθμούς, διερευνώντας τη μετάβαση και την αλληλεπίδραση τόπου και μη-τόπου. Μέσα από τη σύνθεση θεωρίας και εμπειρίας, η εργασία επιχειρεί να απαντήσει στα ερευνητικά ερωτήματα της εισαγωγής, αναδεικνύοντας τον δυναμικό και αμφίσημο χαρακτήρα του τόπου. Τέλος, προσκαλεί τον αναγνώστη να αναλογιστεί τι σημαίνει τόπος στη σύγχρονη παγκοσμιοποιημένη συνθήκη και πώς η έννοια του μη-τόπου συνυφαίνεται με την καθημερινή εμπειρία, διαμορφώνοντας νέες προοπτικές κατανόησης του χώρου.	el
heal.abstract	This lecture examines the dialectics of place, highlighting its significance and complex nature in contemporary thought and experience. Taking as its starting point a Cypriot saying that expresses the mutual bond between people and their place, it explores how the human relationship with space is reshaped in the modern era. The concept of place is clarified and investigated through the phenomenological approaches of three theorists: Martin Heidegger in “Building, Dwelling, Thinking”, Christian Norberg-Schulz in “Genius Loci: Towards a Phenomenology of Architecture”, with a focus on architectural perspectives, and Gaston Bachelard in “The Poetics of Space”. From this analysis, the key characteristics of place emerge, forming a “registry of place.” The study then turns to the notion of the “non-place”, drawing on Marc Augé’s theory in “Non-Places: Introduction to an Anthropology of Supermodernity”, Rem Koolhaas’s essay “Generic City”, and the radical perspective of Aaron Betsky in “Architecture Must Burn”, leading to the creation of a corresponding “registry of non-place”. In the second part, a narrative journey through Cairo is presented, analyzed through several stages that examine the transition and interaction between place and non-place. Through the integration of theory and experience, the lecture seeks to answer the research questions posed in the introduction, while highlighting the dynamic and ambiguous character of place. Finally, it invites the reader to reflect on what place means in the contemporary globalized context and how the notion of non-place intertwines with everyday experience, opening up new perspectives for understanding space.	en
