heal.abstract	Στόχος της παρούσας διπλωματικής είναι να αποδείξει ότι το πένθος, ως επιτελεστική πράξη, λειτουργεί ως εργαλείο μνήμης, αναστοχασμού και αντίστασης. Μέσα από την ανάλυση των μοιρολογιών και της σύγχρονης τέχνης του θρήνου, επιδιώκεται η κατανόηση της επιτελεστικής χωρικότητας του πένθους ως μέσο παραγωγής κοινότητας και πολιτικής παρουσίας. Η εργασία επιχειρεί να επαναφέρει στο προσκήνιο την έννοια του συλλογικού πένθους ως δύναμη που ενεργοποιεί τον κοινωνικό δεσμό, συντελεί στη χωρική συγκρότηση του μνημονικού πεδίου και διαμορφώνει όρους δημόσιας διαμαρτυρίας. Η εργασία διαρθρώνεται σε τρεις κύριες ενότητες, οι οποίες λειτουργούν συμπληρωματικά για την ανάπτυξη του συνολικού προβληματισμού. Η πρώτη ενότητα, εισάγει το θεωρητικό πλαίσιο για την κατανόηση των τελετουργιών και της επιτέλεσης. Εξετάζονται οι θεωρίες των Turner, Van Gennep, Bell, Durkheim και Schechner, με στόχο να αποσαφηνιστεί η σταδιακή μετάβαση από τις αυστηρά δομημένες τελετουργίες στις ρευστές μορφές επιτέλεσης, και να τεθούν οι βάσεις για την ερμηνεία της επιτελεστικότητας του πένθους. Η δεύτερη ενότητα, εστιάζει στη συμβολική, επιτελεστική και σωματική διάσταση του θανάτου, αναδεικνύοντας τη λειτουργία των μοιρολογιών ως τελετουργικών πράξεων που εγγράφουν τον θάνατο στον χώρο και στη συλλογική εμπειρία. Μέσα από την ανάλυση του σώματος ως τόπου μεθοριακού και της φωνής ως φορέα μνήμης, η ενότητα αποκαλύπτει το πένθος ως εργαλείο δημόσιας συμμετοχής και μνημονικής εγγραφής. Η τρίτη ενότητα, εστιάζει στη σύγχρονη πολιτική και αισθητική του πένθους, αναλύοντας πώς η τέχνη, η επιτέλεση και οι δημόσιες τελετουργίες θρήνου επανεγγράφουν το τραύμα στο σώμα και στον δημόσιο χώρο. Η πολιτικοποίηση του θανάτου και η αποσύνδεσή του από τις τελετουργικές πρακτικές της κοινότητας προσεγγίζονται κριτικά, ενώ παράλληλα παρουσιάζονται παραδείγματα επανενεργοποίησης του συλλογικού πένθους μέσα από έργα καλλιτεχνών και δράσεις ακτιβιστικού χαρακτήρα. Η μεθοδολογία της έρευνας βασίζεται σε ποιοτική, ερμηνευτική προσέγγιση, που περιλαμβάνει θεωρητική ανάλυση κειμένων από τις ανθρωπιστικές και κοινωνικές επιστήμες, συγκριτική θεώρηση πολιτισμικών και καλλιτεχνικών παραδειγμάτων, καθώς και σύνθεση εννοιών και θεωριών που αφορούν τη μνήμη, την επιτελεστικότητα, το σώμα και τον χώρο. Η συμβολή της εργασίας εντοπίζεται στην ανάδειξη του πένθους ως κοινωνικής και πολιτικής πράξης, η οποία διαπλέκει τον λόγο, το σώμα και τον χώρο, συγκροτώντας νέα νοηματοδοτικά και χωρικά πλαίσια. Με τη μελέτη των μοιρολογιών και της σύγχρονης τέχνης του θρήνου, η εργασία επιχειρεί να δείξει ότι το πένθος δεν αφορά μόνο την απώλεια, αλλά και τη δυνατότητα για κοινωνική επανένταξη, πολιτική έκφραση και μνημονική αντίσταση. Το πένθος, ως πράξη επιτελεστική, παράγει ενσώματα τοπία διάβασης που επαναοικειοποιούνται τον δημόσιο χώρο και μεταμορφώνουν την απώλεια σε εργαλείο δημιουργίας, αντίστασης και κοινότητας.	el
heal.abstract	The aim of the present thesis is to demonstrate that mourning, as a performative act, functions as a tool of memory, reflection, and resistance. Through the analysis of lamentations and contemporary mourning art, this study seeks to understand the performative spatiality of grief as a means of community formation and political presence. The work attempts to reintroduce the concept of collective mourning as a force that activates social bonds, contributes to the spatial configuration of the memorial field, and shapes conditions for public protest. The thesis is structured in three main sections, which operate complementarily to develop the overall line of inquiry. The first section introduces the theoretical framework for understanding ritual and performance. The theories of Turner, Van Gennep, Bell, Durkheim, and Schechner are examined in order to clarify the gradual transition from strictly structured rituals to fluid forms of performance, thus laying the groundwork for interpreting the performativity of grief. The second section focuses on the symbolic, performative, and embodied dimensions of death, highlighting the function of lamentations as ritual acts that inscribe death into space and collective experience. Through an analysis of the body as a liminal site and the voice as a carrier of memory, this section reveals mourning as a tool of public participation and mnemonic inscription. The third section explores the contemporary political and aesthetic dimensions of mourning, analyzing how art, performance, and public mourning rituals reinscribe trauma onto the body and into public space. The politicization of death and its detachment from communal ritual practices are critically addressed, while examples of the reactivation of collective mourning through artistic and activist interventions are presented. The research methodology is based on a qualitative, interpretive approach, incorporating theoretical analysis of texts from the humanities and social sciences, a comparative consideration of cultural and artistic examples, and a synthesis of concepts and theories related to memory, performativity, the body, and space. The contribution of this study lies in highlighting mourning as a social and political act that interweaves discourse, the body, and space, thereby constructing new frameworks of meaning and spatial articulation. Through the study of lamentations and contemporary mourning art, the thesis argues that grief is not solely concerned with loss, but also with the potential for social reintegration, political expression, and mnemonic resistance. Mourning, as a performative act, produces embodied landscapes of passage that reclaim public space and transform loss into a tool of creation, resistance, and community.	en
