heal.abstract	Η διπλωματική διερευνά την επανάχρηση του βιομηχανικού συγκροτήματος Μπριτάννια στη Νέα Φιλαδέλφεια με στόχο τη μετατροπή του σε κοινωνική κατοικία. Μέσα από ανάλυση της ιστορικής, πολεοδομικής και κοινωνικοοικονομικής συγκυρίας, αναδεικνύεται η επιτακτική ανάγκη για στέγαση λόγω αυξανόμενων στεγαστικών ανισοτήτων, ανόδου ενοικίων και εξάπλωσης βραχυχρόνιων μισθώσεων. Ταυτόχρονα, η διατήρηση της βιομηχανικής κληρονομιάς θεωρείται κρίσιμη, καθώς το συγκρότημα αποτελεί σημαντικό στοιχείο της ταυτότητας της περιοχής και του ιστορικού μνήματος της βιομηχανικής ανάπτυξης. Η πρόταση περιλαμβάνει τη διατήρηση του φέροντος οργανισμού και των βασικών μορφολογικών χαρακτηριστικών, την ένταξη νέων όγκων για τυπολογικά διαφοροποιημένες κατοικίες, καθώς και τη δημιουργία κοινοχρήστων χώρων και εσωτερικού αιθρίου ως κοινωνικού και περιβαλλοντικού πυρήνα. Η επανάχρηση του Μπριτάννια λειτουργεί ως παράδειγμα βιώσιμης αστικής αναγέννησης, συνδυάζοντας την προστασία της πολιτιστικής κληρονομιάς με την ενίσχυση της κοινωνικής συνοχής και της πρόσβασης σε ποιοτική στέγαση.	el
heal.abstract	This thesis investigates the adaptive reuse of the Britannia industrial complex in Nea Filadelfeia, aiming to transform it into social housing. Through the analysis of the area’s historical, urban, and socio-economic context, the study highlights the urgent need for housing due to rising rental costs, increasing housing inequalities, and the proliferation of short-term rentals. Simultaneously, the preservation of the industrial heritage is considered critical, as the complex represents a significant element of the area’s identity and a historical marker of industrial development. The proposal includes the retention of the structural framework and key morphological features, the integration of new volumes for typologically diverse housing units, and the creation of shared spaces and an internal courtyard as a social and environmental core. The adaptive reuse of Britannia serves as an example of sustainable urban regeneration, combining the protection of cultural heritage with the promotion of social cohesion and access to quality housing.	en
