Λευκάδα: τοπιακή επέμβαση με αφορμή το παλαιό οινοποιείο στη Γύρα

Abstract

Κεντρικό θέμα της διπλωματικής είναι η επανάχρηση του παλαιού οινοποιείου του συνεταιρισμού του ΤΑΟΛ με στόχο την επανένταξή του τόσο στο σύγχρονο τρόπο ζωής των κατοίκων της Λευκάδας, όσο και στο ιδιαίτερο φυσικό τοπίο της παραλίας της Γύρας, στην οποία βρίσκεται. Κτίριο και τοπίο δουλεύτηκαν παράλληλα ώστε να αποκατασταθεί ο μεταξύ τους διάλογος. Ο σχεδιασμός ακολούθησε και πολλές φορές επαναπροσδιόρισε τα υπάρχοντα ίχνη και όρια. Τα βασικά ερεθίσματα προέκυψαν με αφετηρία τις έντονες αντιθέσεις στο χώρο. Οι επιμέρους ενότητες που εξετάστηκαν και ανασυντέθηκαν με τελική επιδίωξη την αποκατάσταση της ισορροπίας στο τοπίο, είναι το λανθάνον δυναμικό, η βλάστηση, το ανάγλυφο και η σχέση με το νερό. Επιπλέον, στα πλαίσια της ανάλυσης της ευρύτερης περιοχής της Γύρας, που έγινε στα πρώτα στάδια της διπλωματικής, μελετήθηκε ο υγροβιότοπος της λιμνοθάλασσας της Λευκάδας, και εν συνεχεία συγκροτήθηκε μια συνολικότερη πρόταση ανάδειξής του και σύνδεσής του τόσο με την πρωτεύουσα του νησιού, στα όρια της οποίας εκτείνεται, όσο και με την περιοχή μελέτης.

The main aspect of the project is the adaptive reuse of the old winery of TAOL, in order to reintegrate it both in the modern way of living, and the unique natural landscape of the region of Gira, where it is located. The designed interventions and the proposed types of use, aim to restore the dialogue between the unoccupied, industrial building and the open space, taking into concern the requirements of the local community and minimizing environmentally destructive impacts. The design process followed and in most cases redefined existing trails and boundaries to produce the desired outcome. The basic stimuli emerged from the sharp contrasts in the landscape, the existing structures where encountered as potential elements of reuse, the waterfront boundary, the vegetation and the topography of the site were investigated systematically and redesigned with the ultimate goal of balance restoration. Finally, through the broader analysis of the region of Gira, which was held in the early stages of the project, was formed an overall proposal connecting the wetland of the lagoon of Lefkada with the capital of the island and the study area of the winery.
