Πόλεις - λιμάνια στο χτες και στο σήμερα: η περίπτωση της Γένοβας

Abstract

Στην εργασία αυτή κάνουμε μία ανασκόπηση στην εξέλιξη της πόλης-λιμένα. Μελετάμε τη σχέση των δύο αυτών μερών, σχέση εξάρτησης που αναπτύσσεται από πολύ νωρίς, και επηρεάζει ολόκληρη τη μετέπειτα εξέλιξή τους. Ασχολούμαστε και με την εξέλιξη αυτής της σχέσης στις διάφορες κοινωνικο-οικονομικο-πολιτικές συνθήκες της εκάστοτε εποχής, τη σχάση του διπόλου κατά τη βιομηχανική επανάσταση και επικεντρωνόμαστε στη σύγχρονη εποχή μετά την αποβιομηχάνιση, τις επικρατούσες συνθήκες, και τις σύγχρονες αναπλάσεις που προσπαθούν να ορίσουν της σχέση της πόλης και του λιμανιού. Όλα αυτά τα ανάγουμε πιο συγκεκριμένα στο παράδειγμα της Γένοβας. Πώς εκφράζονται εδώ, πώς την επηρεάζουν, και τι σχέση έχουν με τη σημερινή μορφή της. «Μένουμε» στις σύγχρονες επεμβάσεις που έχουν γίνει ή προγραμματίζονται να γίνουν στο λιμάνι της.

In this paper we study the evolution of a city-port. We approach the relationship of these two parts, the dependency between them that develops very early, and affects the whole subsequent evolution. We deal with the evolution of this relationship through different socio-economic-political conditions of each era, the fission of the dipole during the Industrial Revolution and the modern times after de-industrialization. We also focus on the prevailing conditions and modern reconstructions, which try to define the relationship between the city and its harbor. All these are being surveyed more specifically through the example of Genoa. How they are expressed here, how they affect the city, and its current form. We persist in modern redevelopments that have already been done or are planned to be on the port.
