dc.description.abstract	Στην παρούσα διπλωματική εργασία έγινε πειραματική διερεύνηση της συμπεριφοράς πεδίλων ελεύθερης κατάδυσης που εκτελούν ημιπεριστροφική ταλάντωση ελεγχόμενου πλάτους και συχνότητας ενώ συγχρόνως υπόκεινται σε μεταφορική κίνηση κατά μήκος υδροδυναμικής σήραγγας. Η αξιολόγησή τους έγινε μέσω της μέτρησης των υδροδυναμικών φορτίων, σε διεύθυνση παράλληλη και κάθετη στην μεταφορική κίνηση, με χρήση επιμηκυνσιομέτρων στον βραχίονα στήριξης των πεδίλων. Παράλληλα, η κίνηση των πεδίλων καταγράφηκε από κάμερα, για την συσχέτιση της παραμόρφωσής τους με τα υδροδυναμικά φορτία.	el
dc.description.abstract	The aim of the present diploma thesis is the quantification of the efficiency of eight free diving fins, performing a pitching and translational motion, for various pitching periods and translational speeds. Hydrodynamic loading was measured via strain gauges along two mutually perpendicular axes, one along the translational direction and the other normal to this on a plane which coincided with the pitching plane. At the same time their shape was recorded in order to correlate it with the hydrodynamic loads.	en
