Ιθάκη: ένα μονοπάτι στο χθες και στο σήμερα

Abstract

Η διπλωματική αφορά τη συγκρότηση μιας περιήγησης με σκοπό την ανάδειξη του αρχαιολογικού και φυσικού πλούτου της βορείου Ιθάκης. Η περιήγηση αυτή ενώνει κάποια σημεία ανασκαφικής δραστηριότητας στη βόρειο Ιθάκη με βασικό πόλο έλξης το παλιό αρχαιολογικό μουσείο, ανεγερθέν το 1930, στο οποίο πραγματοποιείται και η επέκταση. Η διαδρομή αυτή βασίζεται πάνω σε τρία μεθοδολογικά πρωτόκολλα: το γεωλογικό(συνδέει βουνό με θάλασσα), το αρχαιολογικό(ένωση σημείων ανασκαφών) και το οικιστικό (περνάει από τις παρυφές των τριών βασικών χωριών). Ο λόφος των Πηλικάτων στον οποίο βρίσκεται το μουσείο αποτελεί ενδεχόμενο σημείο ταύτισης του οδυσσειακού άστεως, το οποίο σύμφωνα με τον Όμηρο περιτριγυριζόταν από "τρία βουνά και τρεις θάλασσες". Κεντρική ιδέα της επέμβασης αποτελεί η έννοια της διαδρομής που περνάει μέσα στο μουσείο, η εναλλαγή των θεάσεων με αποκορύφωμα το τέλος του μουσείου από όπου υπάρχει η δυνατότητα θέασης προς τους τρεις όρμους αλλά και η διατήρηση του υπάρχοντος κτηριακού κελύφους, ως έκθεμα στο κεντρικό πλάτωμα της σύνθεσης. Ανακεφαλαιώνοντας πρόκειται για μια διαδρομή που ενώνει πέντε σημεία ανασκαφικής δραστηριότητας με κεντρικό σημείο το αρχαιολογικό μουσείο το οποίο δρα ανακεφαλαιωτικά, συγκεντρώνοντας τα ευρήματα όλων αυτών των ανασκαφών.

Our thesis concerns the formation of a network of paths, in an attempt to reclaim the natural and archaeological heritage of northern Ithaca. This network connects some specific sites of excavations and has as a basic point of attraction the old archaeological museum (built in 1930), where we make our intervention. The constitution of the path was based on a triple methodological protocol: the geological protocol (the path connects the mountain with the sea), the archaeological protocol (the path connects the excavation sites) and the residential protocol ( the path connects three basic villages of northern Ithaca). The hill of Pilikata, where the museum is sited, consists one of the three potential sites where archaeologists believed in the past the palace of Ulysses could be, which according to Homer was surrounded by "three seas and three mountains". The initial idea of our intervention was: the insertion of the path inside the museum, so that the museum itself can be a part of the tour, the interaction with the three view points (three seas) and also to maintain the cell of the existing museum in the center of the intervention. Summing up, our thesis is the formation of this network of paths that connects all the excavation sites of northern Ithaca, with a central point of attraction, the new archaeological museum, which consists the center of weight of the path by concentrating all the findings of the those excavations.
