Παλαιά λατομεία Εργάνη: Πύλη στον Υμηττό

Abstract

Αντικείμενο της διπλωματικής εργασίας είναι η επέμβαση στο λόφο Κοπανά, με στόχο την ενεργοποίηση του λανθάνοντος δυναμικού του πρώην λατομείου Εργάνης και την ανάδειξη της λειτουργίας του ως πύλη εισόδου στον ορεινό όγκο του Υμηττού. Η επέμβαση φιλοδοξεί να ανταποκριθεί σε πραγματικές και άμεσες ανάγκες των κατοίκων, καθώς και του υπερτοπικού θεσμού του Φεστιβάλ «Στη Σκιά των Βράχων». Τα πάντα υποτάσσονται σε μια σαφή βασική πρόθεση- κεντρική ιδέα: διαιρούμε το χώρο σε 5 ζώνες. Η ζώνη που γειτνιάζει με τον αστικό ιστό αποτελεί την πρώτη μεταβατική ζώνη, στην οποία χωροθετούνται χρήσεις υποστηρικτικές του πάρκου και των σχολικών εγκαταστάσεων (υπόγεια στάθμευση, καθιστικά, βοηθητικοί χώροι, ήπιο πράσινο). Η δεύτερη ζώνη φίλτρο δημιουργείται από υψηλό πράσινο, η οποία διατρέχεται από τοιχία τα οποία συγκρατούν τον όγκο των χωμάτων και διαμορφώνουν ένα νέο ανάγλυφο, ζώνες κίνησης και στάσης. Προτελευταία παρεμβάλλεται η ζώνη του ξέφωτου. Η πέμπτη ζώνη είναι αυτή της πλατφόρμας, όπου δημιουργούμε ένα σαφές όριο που αναδιπλώνεται και σχηματίζει χώρους υπέργειους και ημιυπόγειους. Εκεί τοποθετούμε τις εγκαταστάσεις των θεάτρων και του νέου θεσμού του Φεστιβάλ. Ταυτόχρονα σχεδιάζεται η σύνδεση του πολεοδομικού ιστού με ένα δίκτυο μονοπατιών βασισμένο στις πορείες που διαμορφώθηκαν από το ήδη υπάρχον ανάγλυφο και στις συστάδες της βλάστησης με τις απαραίτητες συμπληρώσεις. Το δίκτυο κινήσεων επεκτείνεται στο τμήμα του λόφου που δε λατομήθηκε και εκτείνεται στα ανατολικά του πρανούς.

The subject of our thesis is the transformation of the hill Copanas, designed to activate the latent potential of the former quarry Ergani and highlight its function as the gateway to the mountain of Hymettus. The intervention aims to respond to real and immediate needs of residents and the institution of supralocal Festival “In the Shadow of the Rocks”. Everything is subordinate to a clear basic intention-central idea: the division of the space into five zones. The zone adjacent to the urban area is the first transition zone, where uses supportive of the park and school facilities are sited (underground parking, lounge, utility rooms, etc). The second belt filter is generated by high green and espoused walls which constrain the volume of soil and form a new terrain, traffic zones and staging. The next zone is the “clearing”. The fifth zone is one of the platform, where we create a distinct boundary that wraps and shapes aboveground and semi-burried spaces. Here we place the facilities of theaters and the new institution of the festival. We also managed to connect the urban fabric with a network of paths based on the paths formed by the existing terrain and clumps of vegetation with the necessary additions. The two main routes of the network drive directly from the entrances to the heart of the quarry. The network of the pathways extends to the quarried part of the hill at the east side of the slope.
