heal.abstract |
A microcomputer-based interactive graphics package for power system analysis education is presented. The interactive program allows the user to obtain the results of his studies displayed against the one-line diagram of the network and to effect changes in it in diagrammatic terms. Detailed results or data can be also presented in tabular form. The interactive environment was obtained by the use of a video display terminal coupled to a simple microcomputer with limited memory and graphic capabilities. The package was designed in a structured modular way so that the various functions of the program are implemented in self-contained sections. At present, the package includes load flow, contingency evaluation, and fault level analysis programs. |
