Cylindrical two-phase epoxy resin specimens have been tested under oscillating loading over a wide range of temperatures and frequencies, taking into consideration the role of the interfaces between the main constituent elements of the composites. New bounds for the loss moduli, which were about 10% higher than those predicted by the law of mixtures, have been established for the case of specimens of good interfacial adhesion, a result which supports the assumption of the importance of the role of the interface region. © 1986. |
