The problem of a mode-III crack moving steadily in an elastic infinite strip was solved. The propagating crack is of the Yoffe's type (internal crack) and the solution is effected by using complex-variable techniques and reducing the problem to the Keldysh-Sedov mixed boundary value problem. This method is essentially different from all previous procedures which have recently appeared to solve similar problems and presents the advantage of yielding a straightforward and easy solution. © 1986. |
