The performance of an optimized power controller is comparatively studied. It shows a maximum power point tracking efficiency of the order of 99% independent of the insolation value. The proposed system may substitute the conventional battery charge regulators used in low and medium power (P < kWp) autonomous photovoltaic systems with a simultaneous annual increase in power yield. © 1987. |
