Γεωγραφικά συστήματα πληροφοριών σε δίκτυα ύδρευσης οικισμών, εφαρμογή : Μανδράκι, Νίσυρος

Abstract

Η ένταξη ενός δικτύου ύδρευσης σε ένα Γεωγραφικό Σύστημα Πληροφοριών (ΓΣΠ) αποτελεί μια διαδικασία η οποία συμβάλλει καθοριστικά στην αντιμετώπιση σοβαρών προβλημάτων. Ο σχεδιασμός, η ανάλυση, η λειτουργία και η συντήρηση δικτύων ύδρευσης οικισμών μπορεί να ωφεληθεί σημαντικά από την τεχνολογία των ΓΣΠ. Θέμα της συγκεκριμένης διπλωματικής εργασίας αποτελεί η ένταξη και αλληλεπίδραση των στοιχείων ενός δικτύου ύδρευσης με ένα Γεωγραφικό Σύστημα Πληροφοριών. Αποτελεί μία προσπάθεια ανάλυσης σε βάθος της χρησιμότητας των ΓΣΠ στην ανάλυση δικτύων ύδρευσης. Στο πρώτο κεφάλαιο αναλύονται τα δίκτυα ύδρευσης ως προς τη δομή τους και τους κανόνες λειτουργίας τους στην Ελλάδα. Στο δεύτερο κεφάλαιο παρατίθενται οι βασικοί ορισμοί των ΓΣΠ, ενώ στο τρίτο τα οφέλη από τη χρήση ΓΣΠ σε δίκτυα ύδρευσης. Ακολουθεί η ανάλυση των στοιχείων των δικτύων ύδρευσης σε ένα ΓΣΠ όπου γίνεται και η παρουσίαση των σημαντικότερων δυνατοτήτων των ΓΣΠ στην αντιμετώπιση προβλημάτων στα δίκτυα ύδρευσης. Τέλος γίνεται η εφαρμογή στο δίκτυο ύδρευσης του Μανδρακίου, πρωτεύουσα της Νισύρου (κεφάλαιο 6) και εξάγονται τα συμπεράσματα των παραπάνω διαδικασιών. Τα αποτελέσματα των αναλύσεων παρουσιάζονται σε χάρτες και πίνακες που μας οδηγούν σε ασφαλή συμπεράσματα σχετικά με την κατάσταση του δικτύου ύδρευσης του Μανδρακίου.

The integration of water distribution systems in a Geographic Information System (GIS) constitutes a process that contributes decisive in the confrontation of various problems. The planning, the analysis, the operation and the maintenance of water distribution systems can be considerably profited from the technology of GIS. The subject of this particular diploma thesis is the integration and interaction of the elements of water distribution systems with a GIS. It is an in-depth analysis effort of usefulness of a GIS in the analysis of water distribution systems. The first chapter contains the basic theory about the structure of water distribution systems as well as the rules of operating these systems in Greece. The second chapter provides an overview of the basic definitions of GIS. Chapter 3 relates the first two chapters and analyzes the importance of using a GIS in a water distribution system. The next chapter (chapter 4) contains the methodology of importing the elements of a water distribution system into a GIS and covers the most important operations that can be performed by a GIS user for solving water distribution problems. The fifth chapter covers the insertion of a real water distribution network in a GIS and the further analysis that can be made. The network that was chosen is the water distribution system of Mandraki the capital of the island Nisiros and all results of this analysis are presented in this chapter in maps and tables. Finally there is a chapter that contains the conclusions of this particular diploma thesis.
