In this paper we study an optimal pointwise control problem for systems governed by a parabolic equation. The state equation is first analyzed and a transposed Galerkin type method is used for approximating this equation. A conditional gradient method is then applied to the control problem. Convergence proofs are given in both cases. © 1981 North-Holland. |
