heal.abstract The contributions of research and networking community in the development of Next Generation Networking Middleware (NGNM), are presented. N.Doulamis et al. proposed an efficient non-linear task workload prediction mechanism incorporated with scheduling algorithm for task allocation and resource management in Grid Computing which enabled quality of service (QoS) oriented resource management. C.Kavadias et al. presented a middleware architecture based on P2P technology components for seamless integration of service function and dynamic discovery mechanisms over wireless interfaces and terminals. S. Hessler proposed a middleware layer on top of TCP/IP networks for providing a service oriented interface. T. Ahmed et al. proposed an MPEG-21 based middleware model for providing end-to-end QoS in next generation networks. J Soldatos et al. presented the design and the implementation of an agent based middleware infrastructure for autonomous context-aware ubiquitous computing services. en
