heal.abstract |
The general material model and its implementation in a finite-element analysis package for arbitrary structural applications are described. A considerable body of data was obtained as a result of extensive experiments conducted on a number of plain and fiber-reinforced sprayed concrete mixes under a relatively wide range of loading conditions. The model can be described by the constitutive relations, the ultimate octahedral-stress failure envelope and, finally the effect of fibers on the macro-cracking of sprayed concrete. It underestimates only the axial strains by approximately 10-30% while it can predict the lateral strians very closely. |
