Abstract

Η διάλεξη αναφέρεται στην πόλη, όπως διαμορφώνεται στον 21ο αιώνα. Η πλειονότητα των ανθρώπων σήμερα ζει στις πόλεις και ο πολιτισμός μας χαρακτηρίζεται αστικός. Ο άνθρωπος από Homo Sapiens τείνει να μεταμορφωθεί σε Homo Urbanus. Μετά από μια σύντομη ιστορική αναδρομή στην πόλη, από τη Ρώμη στο Τόκιο μέσω Φλωρεντίας και Παρισιού η διάλεξη αυτή επικεντρώνεται σε τρεις χαρακτηριστικές περιπτώσεις α) στην παραγκούπολη Mombai της Ινδίας, β) στα χωριά ένταξης στη Γαλλία και γ) στην υπό κατασκευή Μasdar στα Η.Α.Ε. Και στις τρεις αυτές πόλεις παρατηρούμε μία μετάβαση – από την άναρχη δόμηση στην αυτοδιαχείριση, από τη νομαδική ζωή στον εγκλεισμό και από την έρημη γη στην πράσινη ιδανική πόλη του μέλλοντος. Αυτές οι μεταβάσεις αναδεικνύουν την πολυπλοκότητα του φαινομένου, την κοινωνική-πολιτική διάστασή του και την ανθρώπινη (ηθική) πλευρά του καθώς οι κοινωνικές τάξεις, η αδικία και η υποβάθμιση της ζωής στο πιο άναρχο πρόσωπό της έρχεται σε αντιπαράθεση με την περιφραγμένη ζωή στα χωριά ένταξης από τη μια και στην πλήρως ελεγχόμενη ζωή στις πόλεις του μέλλοντος. Τέλος, ο προβληματισμός που αναπτύσσεται έχει ως στόχο μια ουσιαστική προσέγγιση των όρων της ανθρώπινης ζωής.

This presentation refers to the city, as it is shaped in 21st century. The majority of people today live into the cities and our civilization is called urban as human beings tend to become (change) from Homo sapiens into Homo urbanus. In the beginning a short reference of the history of cities is presented from Rome we arrive to Tokio through Florence and Paris. Afterwards we focus on three characteristic case studies a)slum…… b)villages of assimilation in France c) under construction city of Masdar. In all these three case studies there is a transition from the chaotic structure to the self organized living, from nomads to prisoned and from the desert to green ideal future city. These transitions display the multifaced of this phenomenon its social-politic view and its human-moral perspective as the social classes, the injustice and the under ranked life is comforted by the enclosed life in the villages of Roma and by the completely checked life of the future cities. As a conclusion, this presentation’s main goal is to approach the cities of today with goal is to approach the cities of today with a more essential way because cities are not only a place for surviving but for developing creation and progress.
