Abstract

‘Style without style’, ‘sickness of art’, ‘bad taste’, ‘mismatched’, ‘purification mock’, ‘the complete refusal of shit, literally and metaphorically’, however it’s called, kitsch was unknown to everyone until 1970 except from some artists of this period. Today kitsch idea is spread in all human expressions. Now everything can be kitsch. Paintings, buildings, tv shows, clothing, jewelery , behavior, songs, movies, journalism.

It would be rather impossible and aimless , to refer every kitsch category and case, ever been. We will focus on kitsch in art, media, politics and religion, primary components of cultural life. There is no kitsch museum, and it will not be, probably, soon. This lecture is a tour on the imaginary kitsch museum. The ‘theme’ of this exhibition as well as the conclusions and sentiments have enough interest.
