heal.abstract	Η παρούσα μελέτη επικεντρώνεται στον ατταπουλγίτη, τα σημαντικότερα κοιτάσματα του οποίου βρίσκονται στο λεκανοπέδιο των Βεντζίων του νομού Γρεβενών, στη βόρεια Ελλάδα. Εξετάζονται η ορυκτολογική και η χημική σύσταση, η κρυσταλλική δομή και άλλες φυσικές ιδιότητες του ατταπουλγίτη. Περιγράφεται ο σχηματισμός του αταπουλγίτη για ορισμένα παγκόσμια κοιτάσματα και ειδικότερα τα ελληνικά κοιτάσματα στη λεκάνη των Βεντζίων. Επίσης, γίνεται αναφορά στις εξορυκτικές εργασίες και την παραγωγική εκμετάλλευση του ατταπουλγίτη στην ευρύτερη περιοχή της λεκάνης Βεντζίων, Γρεβενών. Αναφέρονται οι πολλές και ποικίλες εφαρμογές και χρήσεις του ατταπουλγίτη, οι οποίες βασίζονται τόσο στις φυσικές ιδιότητές του όσο και στις τροποποιημένες ή βελτιωμένες ιδιότητες μετά από κατεργασία που υφίσταται με μηχανικά και φυσικο-χημικά μέσα. Αντιπροσωπευτικά δείγματα ατταπουλγίτη από τη λεκάνη Βεντζίων εξετάζονται μέσω των εργαστηριακών τεχνικών: XRD, SEM, FTIR, Raman και DTA.	el
heal.abstract	The present study is focused on Greek attapulgite, the major deposits of which are located in Ventzia basin of Grevena prefecture in northern Greece. The mineralogy and chemical composition, the crystalline structure, and the physical properties of attapulgite are examined, as well as the formation of attapulgite for some global deposits and especially of the Greek attapulgite deposits in the basin of Ventzia. Reference is also made to the mining operations and the production utilization of attapulgite in the broad area of Ventzia basin. There’s mention about the many and varied applications and uses of attapulgite, which are based on both its intrinsic properties as well as on the modified or improved properties through prior treatment by mechanical and physicochemical means,each of which issortly described. Representative samples of attapulgite from Ventzia basin were examined using the laboratory analytical techniques: XRD, SEM, FTIR, Raman and DTA.	en
