heal.abstract	The beggining, the definition of stream was given. Special focus was given in tow neighborhoods nearby Kifissos river, namely Kolonos and Sepolia, which in the past were surrounded by non constructive streams.At the next stage, the river of Kifissos was extensively presented and its condition to date was demonstrated. Finally, examples of rehabilitation of strems in Greece and Europe thoroughly discussed. In the current study, non published contour plans of the aforementioned areas were included.Particular focus was given on existing streams of the period 1883-1970.	en
