heal.abstract	Η Ενετοκρατία στην Κρήτη αποτελεί μία από τις σημαντικότερες περιόδους για την ιστορία του νησιού. Οι Ενετοί κατακτητές, εγκαταστάθηκαν στην νήσο επιφέροντας διοικητικές, κοινωνικές, οικονομικές και πολιτιστικές αλλαγές. Με πρωτεύοντα στόχο την μεγιστοποίηση της παραγωγής και του εμπορίου, για την οικονομική ενίσχυση της Μητρόπολης-Βενετίας, οι Ενετοί οργάνωσαν τη νέα κτίση με το φεουδαρχικό σύστημα. Στην περιοχή του Ηρακλείου, στην πόλη της Candia, δημιουργούνται λαμπρά δείγματα δυτικής αρχιτεκτονικής στα νέα δημόσια και οικιστικά κτίσματα. Στην ύπαιθρο, επίσης, επέρχεται οικονομική άνθιση, με εμφανή αποτελέσματα στην οργάνωση των οικισμών και στην αρχιτεκτονική. Τα στοιχεία, της πόλης μεταφέρονται και στην ύπαιθρο, στις επαύλεις και τους πύργους των αρχόντων και στην δημόσια αρχιτεκτονική αρχικά, και στη συνέχεια ενσωματώνονται και στις οικιστικές δομές των εύπορων κατοίκων. Σε αυτά τα πλαίσια, της νέας μεικτής κοινωνίας, η καινούρια δομή και οργάνωση, καθώς και η όσμωση των διαφορετικών κοινωνικών τάξεων, αντικατοπτρίζεται μέχρι και σήμερα στην αρχιτεκτονική. Η εικόνα της, στους οικισμούς της υπαίθρου του Νομού Ηρακλείου, μαρτυρεί ευημερία και αστική σκέψη που υπάρχει μόνο σε λίγες περιοχές του ελληνικού χώρου υπό την κυριαρχία των πόλεων κρατών της Ιταλίας.	el
heal.abstract	The Venetian domination in Crete is one of the most important periods, for the history of the island. The Venetian conquerors settled on the island introducing changes of administrative, social, economic and cultural nature. Primarily aiming to maximize the production and trade, financial support of the Venetian Metropolis, the Venetians organized the newly acquired territory according to the feudal system. In the area of Heraklion, in the city of Candia, brilliant examples of western architecture are created in the public domain influencing also the urban residential buildings. In the mainland settlements of Heraklion, there is an economic bloom with obvious results in their organization and architecture. The architectural forms of the city are diffused in these rural settlements with their villas and towers of their lordly occupants. The newly organised society and its life is reflected in architecture and the composition of the settlement tissue depicting prosperity and urban concept that characterizing solely the Greek territory under Venetian and Genoese occupation.	en
