heal.abstract	Ο ορεινός όγκος του Ποικίλου αποτελεί το βορειοδυτικό όριο του Λεκανοπεδίου της Αθήνας. Μελετώνται η σημασία του για την Αττική, ο τρόπος που αντιμετωπίζεται από τον άνθρωπο και οι πληγές του. Αποπειράται η παρουσίαση μίας στρατηγικής πρότασης που έχει στόχο την προστασία και ανάδειξη του όρους. Ταυτόχρονα, επιχειρείται η συνδιαλλαγή του με τον κάτοικο της δυτικής Αθήνας με τέτοιο τρόπο ώστε να αποτελεί τμήμα της καθημερινότητάς του. Γίνεται επιλογή ενός τμήματος του ορίου βουνού και πόλης, στην Πετρούπολη, όπου διενεργείται προσπάθεια στενότερης διασύνδεσης μεταξύ τους. Πιο συγκεκριμένα, επιλέγονται δύο σημεία εισόδου από την πόλη στο βουνό: της περιοχής του θεάτρου Πέτρας και του Λατομείου Γρηγορίου μαζί με το Βαθύρεμα. Και στις δυο περιπτώσεις αλληλοπεριχωρούνται αστικά και φυσικά στοιχεία, ενώ συνδέονται με άλλα σημεία του ιστού ώστε να δημιουργηθεί ένα δίκτυο συσχέτισης πόλης και βουνού. Στην περιοχή του θεάτρου Πέτρας, ενισχύονται οι πολιτισμικές χρήσεις με την μετατροπή του εγκαταλελειμένου καμινιού σε μουσείο. Στο λατομείο Γρηγορίου, διαμορφώνεται υπαίθριο περιβαλλοντικό κέντρο με την κατασκευή μικρής τεχνιτής λίμνης που ελέγχει τυχόν πλημμυρικά φαινόμενα και ρυθμίζει τη ροή του Βαθυρέματος του οποίου η κοίτη αποκαλύπτεται εντός πόλης. Η μελέτη εστιάζει παραπάνω σε αυτήν την περιοχή όπου αναζητώνται σε κοντινότερη κλίμακα σχεδιαστικοί τρόποι απάλειψης του ορίου.	el
heal.abstract	The mountain range of Poikilo, witch bounds the northwestern boundary of Athens, its significance for the Attica Basin, its treatment in the hands of man and its inflicted wounds are the subject of this thesis. This thesis proposes a strategy aimed at protecting and promoting the mount, by engaging the residents’ of western Athens daily lives with its nature. A specific section of the mountain and city boundary in Petroupolis is selected, in order to draw a closer connection between the two. More specifically, two entry points are chosen: the area of the Petra’s theater and the Grigoriou Quarry together with Vathirema. In both cases, urban and natural elements interconnect, while both of them are hooked up to focal points of the city, creating a network of correlation between nature and urban life. On the one hand, in the area of the Petra’s theater, the cultural uses are reinforced by the transformation of the abandoned kiln into a museum. On the other hand, in Grigoriou quarry, an open-air environmental center is formed with the construction of a small artificial lake that controls any flood phenomenon and regulates the flow of the Vathirema whose riverbed is revealed within the city. The study focuses on this area and on the design tools that are able to further eliminate the boundary on a closer scale.	en
